Nose Piercing... Has anybody gotten this done? I am looking to getting it done for my birthday in April, and I was wondering if it hurt, how long it takes to heal, and if it stays red for a little while. Any experiences with this or information will help!

Evreytime I think of or see a nose ring, I start pictureing pigs.

I have mine done. It doesn't really hurt much. It's like pulling a few nosehairs out all at once, and then it's done. I found it to be a little tender for a couple of days, but it generally healed with no problems. Plus I got a stud rather than the ring, and it's apparently harder to heal that way. But I didn't think so at all.

i dont know about nose....but i got my eyebrown and lower lip err upper chin pierced...didnt hurt that much. The one on my lower lip took awhile to heal though.

my friend had it done and she said it didnt hurt too much. i want my belly button done,. does that hurt???????

I did the side of my nose myself a few yrs ago it didnt hurt too bad only on the inside before the needle went through. But it was bareable. I had to take it out for a job sadly but i plan on having it done again soon.

Honestly though, don't worry about getting your nose pierced, it's the safest one other than your ears. Indian women have been getting it done for hundreds of years. If there was a problem with it, I'm sure we'd know by now.

It hurts for a split second, and then it's done. The risk of infection is quite low if you clean it properly (I recommend Spectro Gel) and I find that they're usually quite modest. And if ever you decide you don't want it anymore, you can just take it out. No biggs.

what if you have a cold and you need to blow your nose?

I have my nipple pierced and that hurt. It hurt more than my tattoo even, even though my tattoo wnet on for longer... Anyway, it was like a sharp pain for a second or two and then after that it was just like a blunt stinging that carried on for about an hour.

I don't like nose rings but don't mind little diamond studs, in fact they can look very pretty.

What I really don't like though are the ones that girls get on the skin above their top lip, especially when the stud is quite big. That's actually quite a turn off for me...

My mom did the same thing. and now I do date guys with nose rings and tatoos. I plan to get extensive tattoo work done as well. But body modification is for the person doing it. It is a part of them. It is a simple as that.

Could someone tell me why piercings freak them out? I have heard lots of negativity and just don't understand it.

I got mine done. along with bellybutton, tongue. Nose was the less painful. Only hurts for a second or 2.

I say if you want it go for it. My belly piercing only stung for a minute. The tattoo was more painful while it was being done than after. It stung like a sunburn.

I've got a tattoo, but it's not visible unless I take my shirt off. I'm hoping to get another tattoo this summer.

Wow! What a rad parent you are. My mum was gonna let me get blue bits in my hair, but the hairdresser wouldn't do it. I think she would kick me outta the house if I got my lip pierced. She wants we to run around looking like a hooker, but tatoos are a big no-no. Weird.

Hi, my cousin was thinking about getting a nose ring and she wants to know how long you have to wait before changing the nose ring after you get it pierced. Any help would be appreciated!

You'd have to ask the piercer, but generally they say 10 - 14 weeks.

Well, if you get a screw, no. Because it is custom bent to fit in your nose without a back.

i got my nose done about a year ago... dont have it anymore.. long story, funny ending... i found it hurt more than my belly or tregas peircing. best to use saline to clean the area with.. dont use any spirits as this will inflame and aggrevate the area, as it is an open wound. you have to turn the stud once a day, best when cleaning, and helps clean off the gunk... if you go to a good peircer, and i suggest you do, they will answer any questions that you have..
do not, and i repeat. do not go to a beauty parlour/hairdresser etc to get it done as they will use the stud gun... this is very dodgy and you will sure to get an infection, if not hepatitis.. always go to a professional peircer where they will use the correct needles and clamps.. if in doubt, ask to see their autoclave (the device that steralizes the equipment) and make sure that the equipment is sealed before they use it, and that they use gloves...




funny thing is.. i know a few ppl that ue scew studs. they find it easier to maintain. i had the bent bar.. caused me no end of troubles

I had it done once when i was 12 it was one of the lest painful peirceings ive had yet, you have nothing to worry about because you'll be nervous when walking in there to get it done and you'll be serprize of the outcome as you'll think it'll hurt more than it does. I had my nose done with a gun though so i couldnt tell you what it would feel like with a needle. It felt like someone was pinching my nostral really hard n it wears off straight away. So dont worry
