W00t!
aliennobasoure
um bang your covered in pink paint hmm.gif hhhmmmm??
Shivel
I agree with aliennobasoure. Very well put. tongue.gif

Just out of curiousity..what kinds of things could we talk about on this thread?
DarkSinister
What type of guns do you have?

I have a black dragun II with a co2 gas tank and an automatic hopper.
DarkSinister
I wan a nitrogen tank...i'll be spraying like crazy! gunsmilie.gif
Mad Manfred
I haven't actually been in a game...

But one of my brothers surprised me when I was sitting on the toilet and shot me in the forehead...I still have the lump and the paint blinded me for two hours...bastard disgust.gif

Such wonderful childhood memories...
DarkSinister
oh man, that must of hurt. The most painful spots are your fingers and neck(throat area).
Tommy
There aren’t many places it doesn’t hurt! I’ll always remember the one time I was brilliantly hiding behind those super skinny trees, kneeled down to reload and got nailed 4 times in the head. disgust.gif Retribution was swift in coming. happy.gif

lol. I just bought an automag classic. It cost me a bundle.

I always pick up my paintballs on ebay before a game. If you use an actual company to arrange it and supervise, they rip you off. Paintballs cost up to £12 for 100. On ebay I bought 6000 for £55 earlier this year. Still haven't used half of them.

I don't like the paintball companys that don't let you use your own equipment. If they do, they can't charge you for gun rental or additonal paintballs or anything, so can only charge for feild rental.

It does hurt. I've been about eight times, nine soon. I hate it when they don't break, but it does mean you can stay in the game. I have a friend who puts all his paintballs in the freezer prior to the game. It hurts like heck. He also likes to use two spyders (where allowed). I would never be able too, but he's always running around the feild with a Lara Croft kind of vibe. Only problem is, he uses SO much ammo and can't carry the flag or a sheild (if given the chance).

Each game I fill up my gun with about 150 paintballs. I also carry a spare pack in a loader. The loaders are great, because their hard. It means when you're rolling around, your paintballs arent gonna all squish. Before I got one I never carried around paintballs on the feild if they wern't in my gun.

We never really stick to those rules in the strict sense of the game. tongue.gif If someone shoots us, we wipe it off, blast them back and get some good value for money. Honestly its so expensive to play, might as well have a full game of it. Reminds me of the age-old question does it really hurt more when the balls don’t burst? Maybe someone who goes often can carry out that experiment for us ey Walken. tongue.gif

N.B the paintball scene in Spaced is the best paintball scene ever put onto film. grin2.gif

I agree with that. The first time I played in the first game (capture the flag) me and Jack (great guy) decided to do it ninja style. We were going around the edge of the area, really softly, in a tiny ditch that kind of resembled a muddy river. Anyway, Jack decided to go ahead and I covered him from the ditch. He was hideing in a bunker when suddenley two other guys charged him. It was GREAT! First he shot one of them (who fell over, lol) then jumped over into another ditch. He tried to shoot the other one to, but they got him first. It was the first game and he hadn't been in long so just said 'Screw, that, I'll pretend it didn't happen' and ran back to the ditch.

The guy was so angry, lol.

I haven't seen it, lol.

In regards to the question, being such a good paintballer (tongue.gif) I'm rarley hit. I've gone 8 times. In two of those I've never gone out, and in the rest I've gone out 1, or more commonly, 2 times.

I think it hurts more when they don't break. My very first hit was in the bottom of my back when we were retreating from a bunker. I swore and put my hands up, was on my way out, then Jack (whom I nearly always go with, lol) Said 'Dude, you're not hit' So I just jumped behind some trees and continued.

Now, instead of going out, I always get a team mate to check me for paint.

If I run out of ammo in a game, I just make a distraction and fire off blanks into the air. Usually I run around the opposite side or something why my team mates start shooting.

Anything to win, lol.

Anyone ever heard of Urban Paintball? Where I go (usually 'Skirmish' or 'PaintBlast') It's just long feilds, plains and woords, with loads of trees, some ditchs, sometimes tiny rivers, bunkers, sand bags and stuff. I've never been to urban paintball but would imagine it's not so great anyway.

In one game (Last man standing) i was lucky enougth to find a wooden sheet. I tried to use it as a sheild, but it was too darn heavy. Being the youngest there, though, I just called over one of the older ones who could lift it and told them to use it.
Erikl
Never played paintball hmm.gif.

Will have a gun next month though tongue.gif.

Can I come and play? wink2.gif
Walken
lol, sure.

If you've never played before, I wouldn't reccomend buying your own gun. Play with a pro company first or something.

Loads of people will buy guns, only to never use them and hate paintball.

I never say I'll buy the gun myself tongue.gif.
The government pays for that wink2.gif.

I think though it would be inappropriate to show up with an M16 to a paintball game mellow.gif .

i have a rebel btb. its silver and black.

theres an awesome place near where i live its called challenge park. it has a lot of courses that are themed.
The Krow
I don't own a gun, but I have used my friends guns...

ANS autococker with an Eblade and a Halo B hopper
Planet Eclipse Ego with eblade and Halo B hopper
A Proto Matrix with a halo B
and a Silver Bullet with a Halo A

all of the guns were great, but the Proto Matrix was probably the best...I am going to buy his Silver Bullet, along with his Halo and old Nitro tank...
Walken
I hate all the new paint grenade launchers and stuff. They're absurd. I'd pick my trusty automag anyday.
The Krow
They are amazingly pointless...I'm much rather use a Proto Matrix or Autococker...but thats just because those guns are amazing...
Walken
Uh-huh.

It's the player, not tee gun.

i always go in summer with my friends and we always kick ass, nothing like playing paintball in the summer with your best pals beating the sh** out of some random people at a paintball place, i like the place about 20 mins from me its in a forest and thiers towerrs, bases, old cars to hide in or around, tires, bushs, a river! a bridge it kicks ass
Walken
I like urban paintball, but only if it's worth it.

I prefer outdoors. It's got more of a vibe going on. Theres nothing like vietnam role play in paintball grin2.gif
neo cloud 8900
paint grenades are pretty much a waste of money. but they are kind of fun.
MonkeyMan
once i shot with an angel,, lets just say whoa.
neo cloud 8900

paintball is much more fun than airsorf. I have a 2003 Impulse with a NO2 (Nitrus) tank and a ricoshay AK auto hopper. I live near challange park and fox paint and such in romeoville. Any one in or near indiana should go to the badlands paint ball. best place ive ever been

Ah the game of paintball. The game where the first 10 times i played i got shot right in the chest or back.

Now i want to ask yall what is the largest game you have ever been in?

I was once in a 30 vs 30 game. And it was the greatest thing i have ever done in my life of playing paint ball.

DarkSinister
don't hurt?! what the heezy...what psi is it set at?
static
they hurt like hell if you ain't go any of that plastic armor or nice big padded shirt.
DarkSinister
^ Exactly what I was thinking when I read that earlier in the thread..
DarkSinister
There's actually a lot of places that you can play around where I live. There's also a ton of paintball shops. I haven't been playing for awhile though. I can still remember my first time on the field...got sprayed by pros using angels. Christ sake, i was in great pain! I think I only last about 5 mins long for that round. After that, I played beginners and intermediate for awhile and eventually started playing pro.

I was hit in the shoulder, right where there was a gap in my armour. it was painfull.
Walken
Whats your playing style?

I considor myself a paintball sniper yes.gif

QUOTE
I consider myself a paint ball sniper

I have been shot more by snipers then anything. I'll be creeping though the woods all sneaky and out of the blue a sniper get me.

Well my playing style is attacker. I like to go out there a take it to the enemy.

Now one of my favorite tactic is the old "bait and hook".

You and a team mate goes out and finds some good cover. You just sit there a be hidden, don't move, look out, or anything. Then when enemies appear your team mate swaps some paint with them, but don't let them see you.

Your team mate will slowly withdraw. Then when he feels like he can run he makes a break for it. The enemies will jump out of behind there cover and BAM. You jump out of behind yours and blast them, and scine they are concentrated on following your team mate they won't even think that you are there and you can catch the off guard.

QUOTE
about 5 mins long for that round.

hell i didn't even last 3 minutes one time. As soon as the game whistle blew i say the whole enemy team came running at us. I didn't even have enough time to jump behind a cover or anything.

I've only been paintballing once, it's an open feild and gun rental is 15 bucks and 500 balls for 10, which is fair, I'm thinking of getting a gun (hehe, I'm getting paid soon (hopefully)), does anybody have any recommendations? I'm only a beginner, but I would like something that shoots accurate and far, (damn I would really like a sniper rifle type thing, that would be the shizzle) I think after I get paid my budget weill be around 160 and then I'm broke, I am hoping for something cheaper though, maybe like 100 (this is us dollars by the way) so yeah. Ha ha, I remember my first game, I got my freind out, and then in the games after that I got hit and it didn't explode cept I didin't know that you weren't out when that happened so everyone was asking "did you get hit?" found out later though. The feild is really kickass though, theirs a river, and it's like a huge forest. But their was "itch weed" there, and I was wearing shorts, damn that hurt like crazy. Yay for paintball I still got like a hundred or two hundred blue ones that shoot yellow in my room. What's also awesome is that, the guy who owns the place, doesn't harge for the feild but only the gun rental and ammo. And he was really nice, and taught me, and convinced my mom I wouldn't be leaving in an ambulance lol. I played like 6 hours original.gif

I went paintballing not that long ago, for the first time in door (i don't do this much) and I learned one thing... 350 psi's hurt like hell point-blank!

I've been to paintball three times, and it rocks. My friend organises a game once a year around July (it's too hot in summer, and winter is good for running and not dying of heat exhaustion). We were in an interesting game where we couldn't run but could only shoot one bullet per round at the opposition team. One of my team (a consumate beginner) was so bad at shooting, they shot me in the back! angry.gif Or maybe they did it on purpose, I dunno.

Anyway, all this talk of guns n' stuff. In Australia (or at least NSW), paintball is illegal except at licenced grounds. It is illegal to own paintball guns. It is illegal to be in posession of paintballs outside of said licenced grounds. So the only option is to use the guns and bullets they provide. These laws suck, but we gotta live by them I guess.

Until next time all,

Most match I ever played?

Okay, this was a TEAM capture the flag. Our equipment was limited to overalls, two walkie talkers, and our guns and paintballs.

We were playing a capture the flag. I was captain of the team and we were on assult.

I sent two thirds of our team to attack the other side from a distance. They would be undercover and very much just providing a distraction, whilst me and four friends launched a ninja style walk towards their base. I took one walkie talkie and some guy in the other team took the other.

We were moments away when suddenly the other guys all stopped shooting. We then heard shouting. I tried to get an awnser on the talkie-

Me: Team B, do you read me? Over.

Me: Team B, do you read me? Over.

B: Retreat, Team A, retreat! They set up a trap! Over.

Me: What happened?

B: They split their team in three. One stayed at the base. One just came up behind us - Theres only two of us left. Over.

Me: Where is the other?

B: They're coming up right behind you. Over.

Me: Okay, regroup at the Swamp. I repeat, regroup at the swamp, Over.

And so began the biggest rush I'd ever experienced.

Suddenly and without warning two of their soldiers came running at us from the trees up ahead, straight towards us, shooting rapidly. They were both young kids, and were obviously just some kind of distraction or shock tactic. We all took cover and shot them both.

They suddenly deployed from the Base. They seemed to think that we were the last group left. We were now surrounded, and could only escape either to the left or the right.

I called for us to split up. I clearly didn't define this well as I started running to the left and evreyone else ran to the right.

They started firing on me and following me so I ducked behind some sound bags and gave them hell. BANG BANG! Twas awesome. There must have been six of them garrisoned in and around the trees nearby. I had to keep emmiting supressing fire to ensure they couldnt fire back.

Me: Team B, do you read me, over?

Team B: We read you Team A. OVer.

Me: Have you succsessfully regrouped? Over.

Team B: Yes. Over.

Me: They've abandoned the base -Get the flag. Go go go. OVer.

Team B: What tactics? OVer.

Me: Send two people. Get the flag. Silently. The rest of you find the other group. OVer.

Team B: Affirmative.

I knew I had to get this force further away from the base, so I took a run. Obviously I didn't realise that they had come a lot closer to me and were a lot more ready for this.

As I stood up immediatly they started pumping fire at me. The first couple missed, but then as I started to run away one shot hit my back. It didn't break, so I was still in the game, but really hurt. I fell down, where they then fired on me more than once. No doubt I was hit.

I stood up and smiled and said 'Good Game'.

In the end we won, however only the two that went for the flag survived. The rest encountered the other part of their team and were blown to peices laugh.gif

Awesome. The best I can say I've done (and I suppose it's more funny than anything) is when I was in a sniper tower and I ran out of ammo. I kept shooting blanks as if I had a hundred rounds to spare. I kept something like six of the enemy pinned down while i shot nothing at all at them. Meanwhile, the other's in my team snuck behind them and shot them in the back. hehehehe grin2.gif

Thats not true. You can tell the diffrence when some one has paint or is out. When you run out is when i would rush you and blast the hell out of ya with ny 02 Imp with a vision eye and nitrus tank. Good stuff, spryin down little kids is fun. Anyone live near CPX?
Walken
Wrong. A skilled player can easily pull off such a deception. I myself have done it many-a times.

The trick is to fire, but not in blind sight. If an enemey is charging at you and you have no ammo you do not then fire back - He will instantly see that you're bluffing. You instead take cover. You only fire when your enemey is not looking directly at you. On most guns the noise will not indicate whether you have ammo or not, save the impact of the paintball.

what are yall's opinion's about the Tippmann A-5? cause that is my dream gun at the moment.
Paranoid Android
I have no opinion. As I stated in an earlier post (and I know I'm whingeing here crying.gif ) it is illegal to own paintball guns in Australia angry.gif

Any gun other than the ones you get at the paintball field is a luxury which we just do not have.

Ah well,

All the best, enjoy the Tippman.........
