I recently read a thread on spontaneous human combustion, and someone mentioned the "wick theory." I was just wondering if anyone had ever heard of this and/or knows anything about it. I am really curious.
(Sorry if this isn't in the right section)

I think human combustion happens when two situations occur at the same time
1) extreme dehydration making the body unable to send electrical bio signals
2) the electrical biochemicals in the body building up due to their inablity to spread out among the body
I believe with these conditions when the electrical build up becomes large enough that it can travel through the nervous system but in the process produces a massive amount of energy(like if you build up alot of static electric and then touch a metal object you get a shock, but this is on a much larger scale.) that goes through your body and all at the same time burns the dehydrated tissue. This would explain why spontanious combustion happens so fast.
I'm pretty sure this is how it works, but I havent really read up on it im just guessing.
