If your mother dies, that is not punishment, but the natural order of things.... everyone has to die sometime.

I think gos doesnt help us because god isnt real, my mum is going 4 an op soon and she may have cancer, if god kills my mum he isnt only punishing my mum but me and my whole family and that isnt fair

I considered myself dead 15 years ago.
I wish God never gave me a chance but i'm still here.
I guess we have to lived with it.

I dont think god helps people at all i mean remmember the tsunami why did god not do anything about it or help the poor starving people in africa. This is why i lost all my hope in god and now i am losing my belief in god i mean if you have ever wondered like how a sex offender rapes a 7 year old girl and leaves a scar why dosent god do anything about it or is god even real to us. So i dont belive that god helps people he just watches their actions. ALL GOD wants to do is sent people to hell and those who belive in him go to HEAVEN.

Hey, I know how you all feel

My grandfather died when I wuz in 4th grade
My friend Serena *sniff* died and I wuz there when I saw her die
My cat died at age 12
My kitten died in my arms at 2 months
My other cat died at 10
My grandmother is dying
My godfather died in Ocotber in 2003

It's okay. Just have faith and you'll be alrgiht. He helped me through it, and, well, here I am today. I wouldn't be here typing this right now if He hadn't helped me. It's okay. I share your pain *hugs*

[Ok, let me clarfiy on this. The bottom line is, if you don't ask, you don't receive. So, if my comment about athiests being ingrates has been taken the wrong way, I'm going to explain it. I'm not talking about children OR adults dying or starving in Africa or in any other part of the world. I'm not talking about 8 year old kids that die of Cancer, don't misunderstand what I'm saying. Technically, I'm not talking about children at all. I'm giving the logical reason behind why an adult who has decided to turn athiest, who DOES know the difference, says 'but why doesn't God help me if He exists'. Like I said, if someone doesn't ask, why would they get help?[quote]The other part of the story is this. People, every single human being who has ever now, or ever will exist (excpt a rare few, which if you don't believe in the religion, won't accept anyway) dies. When and why, is unknown, and it's sad when it happens, but I can't understand the blaming God (especially if you don't believe in God to begin with) for this. I believe in reincarnation (alot don't, most Christian's don't, which is why I'm not really 'Christian') and the only reasoning I can come up with is that the souls are needed to be born again.
You can agree or disagree but this is the way I see it.

dmgspycat: The power to create or destroy or love and hate is within us all. Personally I think meditation is best. Its like a peaceful self-evaluation or a means to think about what you need and how to get it. Asking god for anything is misunderstanding what we are all about and our station in this world. I worked for everything I have...so the saying " If you pray for a potato you better bring a hoe" has a funny relevance.
You don't have to sit Indian style with open palms and chant or anything...but we have the power within us to do what we need to, and meditation helps bring us to that realization.
