I think about this every now and then... what if there is no one god yet we live under the ruling of many gods. Like the God of the sea and the God of the sun kinda thing... I just want ot know if I'm not the only one that thinks of that.

heres a crazy cooky thought, what if there are no gods at all? and that the only thing that controls the sun, the ocean, and that sort of thing is physics? wacko.gif

I never really liked the idea of "god"(this is due to my experiences with christian school ironically), but what if the sun was a spiritual magnet that draws everyone who dies spirit into it? Maybe the sun is heaven and the middle of the earth is Hell. I hope I go to Hell, 'cause if heaven is full of christians i'd really rather be in Hell.

But I know its not true...

And even more interesting to think about, what if the gods who controlled all those things were personified, and were actual beings that looked like humans but were immortal, and you could find them and talk to them? I thought that would be intesting... You think that guys just an old man walking down the beach when in actuallity he's like the god of the sea and the tides. unsure.gif Or that quiet goth girl in your biology class is really like a goddess of the lunar cycles or something.. blink.gif

It's all a matter of what you personally believe in.

For me personally, I embrace my Christian faith. Always will. But that's what works for me personally.

And I didn't come to that decision lightly. I have studied extensively other religions and their customs and writings. I think the biggest sin is for a person to blindly follow a particular religion just because they are told to by their parents...or others who are close to them.

I believe that people owe it to themselves to experience as much as life has to offer. Then you choose and follow the path that you believe is right for you.

Maybe im just loyal to my icelandic heritage, but I always liked the idea that Odin and Thor are up in Valhalla making preparations for Ragnarok...
