Bex
It's been a rough week and some people have been like a refreshing breeze and sunshine on cloudy stormy days.
So if you could make someone something nice for dessert, what would be your Ultimate Favorite.

Personally I would bake a German Chocolate Frosted Cake for Walken
(Chocolate cake with Caramel, pecan and coconut frosting)

For Froggy, I would make him a Coconut Creme Pie

Talon, I would make a batch of Fudge with nuts in small bite sizes so you can play your games & snack at the same time, ha ha

I like this dessert from a famous resturant called The Bluebonnet Cafe in Marble Falls, Texas. wub.gif It's called The German Chocolate Frosted Pie (scrumpious flaky pastry filled with chocolate pudding, then a layer of nuts and then a layer of coconut topped with whipped cream with a few nuts and coconut on top followed with drizzled chocolate on the top. As a diabetic, this is a no-no, but I can have one to two bites and I'm cool with that. grin2.gif
Walken
I love apple crumble...... grin2.gif
Frogs

mmmm....Froggy likes pie! tongue.gif

Hmmm...I'm not much of a baker. But, where I live the fields are full of ripe strawberries at the moment. So, I that means I'd try to whip up a strawberry shortcake for Pisces.
Walken
I only cook things which are easy, like Jelly and Angel delight. grin2.gif

Yes! Jelly and Angel Delight! grin2.gif thumbsup.gif

My grandma makes the best chocolate cake in the world. It's like a chocolate, biscuit crumbs and raisins mix with a layer of melted chocolate on the top and then left to set in the fridge. It's delicious.

What is Jelly and Angel Delight?

I should have put Cookies on the list.
Bex
So let me get this straight - Biscuits are Cookies?
Well then what do you call American Pastries (Biscuits) we usually make at breakfast?
Bex
I would like to make the Scottish group "Peach Cobbler" and the one's in Australia "Pecan Pie".
Walken
Angel delight is a powder, when mixed with milk, which becomes a delightful cream.

Jelly is yummy.

Once my mom made me plum crumble. It was georgeous!

Jelly is what Jell-O is called in the UK. Angel Delight is a powder that you mix with milk and then whisk it up and it turns into like a light creamy/frothy mix and you can get it in several flavours. I only like Strawberry.

For everyone over 18yrs old I would make "Irish coffee cheesecake"(yummy)totally from scratch...and for the minors here,it would be a rhubarb crumble and ginger biscuits(also from scratch)
Bex
Let me tell you!
I had great dreams last night with all of the visions of desserts
Diabetic Fantasy hahhaha
AliceCoopersGirl
Here is the recipe for the cheese cake...

Serves 6(unless you love it and then it serves 1 laugh.gif )

Preparation time...30 minutes

Cooking time...40-45 minutes.

Ingredience:
200g(7 oz)plain chocolate digestive biscuits

50g(1 3/4oz) irish butter

675g(1 1/2lb)full fat soft cheese

175g(6oz)caster sugar

3 eggs,beaten

10ml(2teaspoons)instant coffee granules(can be decaf if prefered)

2.5ml(1/2teaspoon)vanilla essence

150ml(5 fl oz)whipping cream

15-30ml(1-2 tablespoon)Irish whiskey(or any whiskey you want...Irish is nicer though)

50g(1 3/4oz)plain chocolate(for decoration)

How to make.

Step 1) Preheat oven to 150 c,300 f,gas mark 2.
Crush the biscuits in a food processor(or if you don't have onwe, put biscuits in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin...more fun this way)
Melt butter then add crumbs and stir to melt the chocolate(from biscuits)
Press mix into the base of 20cm(8 inch)round loose bottom cake tin on a baking sheet.

Step 2)Beat together the cheese, sugar and eggs until smooth.
Disolve coffee in a teaspoonful of hot water.
Devide mixture into one half and add vanilla into the other.
Pour alternate mixtures into the tin, then stir lightly to make marble effect.

Step 3)Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes until the centre is lightly set.
Turn oven off and leave cheesecake in oven to cool.(Don't worry if mixture cracks)
Turn out when cold.
Whip the cream with the whiskey until it just holds its shape, then spread over the cheesecake.

Step 4)Melt chocolate gently in a bowl over a pan of hot water.
Spoon into a small paper icing bag.
Make several small Shamrock shapes(four leaf clovers)onto non-stick paper.
Leave in a cool place to set, then use to decorate the cheesecake.

Step 5)Sit down, put feet up and enjoy.

I sincerely hope that is vegetarian jelly, Mr. Walken!
I am better at cooking than baking, thanks to Delia Smith. Walken, I'll send you some recipes, you will love them. But I do remember making Short Bread with strawberry and cream filling, my family liked that.
