I seen the photo of this not too long ago on Unexplained a month ago or so & they weren't sure what these creatures were. I found a site that calls these creatures HELLBENDERS. They are a very rare breed of EEL Fish. Here are some pictures I found. A baby Hellbender, and some adult size ones. Was also said these creatures may grow very large. Could be mistaken for a Nessie or Lochness Monster.

Those are really odd looking. Kind of like a deformed platypus. Where have they been found?

gee.it's quite weird................i assume that they lived in the ocean with the dinosaurs before or maybe when they are in their super adult stages they are going to be like that of the lochness................maybe they are baby lochness........this is interesting pal!

Yeah..... that's the species name I was looking for! Thank you! It's a Salamander, I've seen it many times before, not anything cryptid

I have actually caught a few of these in the Kokosing river in Northern Ohio. They are found from as far north as Michigan and as far south as Tennessee. Hellbenders are now on the Endangered species list but they can be found if you know how and where to find them. Very awesome amphibian and the largest in America...

That is pretty much what I was wondering.
They are cool looking, aren't they? The little one looks like a Salamander I had as a pet when I was little.

Cool
Those things are huge but nessie is suposivly to have a large body and long neck, so I dought they could be mistoken for nessie.

Aww. Look at its chubby, freaky little legs.
I love it.
It looks like a well-fed salamander.
"Hellbender". What a tough name. It's like calling a puppy a "Satanwrecker".

they did a special on the discovery shannel, show casing the worlds largest salamander, and some where in north america (i forgot which state) they found 4 foot hellbenders, but the largest was in japan and was 7 1/2 feet long.

those are interesting, although they have nothing to do with Loch Ness.
