Yes, and people put their will before Gods...

"Gods will be done..."

But not everyone follows God or even believes in God so...

hehe...the bible speaks of a hell. Should we believe in it? If non-believers were to go in there, they would be saved by calling out to the Lord and Savior?
Jesus_Freak
huh?
_hAiLO_
Yeah! Wouldn't a non-believer believe if they were to go to hell? And would a believer call out to the Lord and Savior(Jesus) to save them?
lightbeyondthedark
Hmm...

I think its too late when the person reaches hell...

I heard that since Jesus is full of our sins, he would use those sins to gain entrance into hell and save all the souls that were lost in hell.
Jesus_Freak
yeah...i think the cut off date/time is when you die...

and hailo, that's what Jesus did while he was dead. From the time of adam and eve, to the time that Jesus died, the gates of Heaven were closed. Everyone on earth went to hell. When Jesus died, the gates opened, and Jesus went to hell to get the ones who would have gone to heaven (Moses, Abraham, Noah... etc.)

Just answer this: If he's the good guy, how cme there isn't a "Sadist's Bible" or anything like that? It's just... Really disturbing...

Again, if you refer to the bible, I imagine god seems far more the sadist than Satan does huh.gif

However, there is actually a Satanist's bible...although the Satanist religion doesn't actually believe in Satan (that would make them Christians). They're actuall athiests...they merely choose Satan as their poster boy, because they believe much the same thing I do...that the Satan character is portrayed as having tried to fight the good fight against an oppressive and tyranical regime, and therefore respresents...I'm not sure how they veiw it exactly...perhaps anti-authoritarianism huh.gif

Yahweh the bad guy?

I'm scared now... Can't trust people anymore... Oh God am I depressed... Again...

But hey, it'd be cool to study Christianity from that point of view.

Wow I'm praying tonight... A long prayer, too...

What is it you consider pathetic? The things you listed?
Well...
*God wanted men to murder Jesus
I don't think God wanted men to murder Jesus, but he knew it would happen... Jesus did in fact come to die for us... That is how we escape sin...
*Jesus has equivalent power than that of God
Hmm...
Well Jesus is God the son...
*Jesus prioritised Glorifying God higher than any other priority.
This is true... Whats wrong with that?
*God is good
Again true...
*God doesn't want people to go to hell
Again, what is wrong with that?
Heres a little hypothetical for you... If you knew hell was real would you want anyone to go there?
*God wants people to believe in Jesus or him.
Sure he does... What is the pathetic part of that?

Well, it's that time again! A wonderful Sunday of which Christians consider their Sabbath.
A day of the weekend, and a day for Christians to come back from church all loaded and ready for another round.
§
*God wanted men to murder Jesus
What was the point in that? What a sadistic and barbaric ritual of which nothing is accomplished but the numerous punctures and blows to one man. How do we know ANYTHING happened upon his death? How can we surely ascertain for ourselves that he rose, even his disciple Thomas the Doubter got a chance to be reassured!
Well that's what the story says anyway, but it's only there because it wants to round up doubting people to single files as to believe that there is a God.
Those disciples got a chance to see for themselves that Jesus had risen, but where's our chance?
Has anybody seen Jesus before?(excluding boys that people have named Jesus in modern days)
Whether righteous, evil, believing, denying, traiterous those disciples were - they all got to see for themselves the 'works' of Christ.
What makes it any different of us?
§
*God is good
How can you say this is true, without even knowing for a surety?
Christians continue to blame God when good things happen in their lives, and then blame Satan for the bad.
Too much following what the book says.
§
*Jesus has equivalent power than that of God
A God who is unable to show himself, a God who is unable to sin and a God who is unable to be humbled.
Are those not weaknesses? Those are the limits of this so called 'God', therefore infinity is deprived of him.

Yes, but a world following God's commands and rules would be a perfect world, right?

As has already been demonstrated, both God and Jesus actually promoted the murder of non-belivers...so...no.

A world following the 10 commandments? There would be peace and prosperity. And as you said, when God lets the world suffer I.E. tsunami, big things happen and those who aren't used to these sufferings would generally lose it. After their life being reduced to no suffering, they would pop once a big suffering comes.

The mind boggles at how utterly ruthless and evil your god is..."I know. I'll get mankind used to suffering by brutally murdering a few thousand of them! That'll be cool!"

Ehehehe.......

Ya know, we think the same about Beelzebub. And most of the victims weren't believers in Him. Even if we've mis-interpreted what He's been doing, heh, He has His plans.

C'mon... Let's try not to get to breaking point... Sadly the Proof of Evolution thread has already crossed that boundary... Let's not see that here thumbsup.gif
