As a few of you will know,I have injured my back and am signed off work with it.

I am trying to look for ways to earn some money(as Im not getting sick pay from my boss) and to keep my mind from going.
By this I mean that I would like to use my computer to do this.

Does anyone know of any proper places I can look to find things like this where I will not have to pay any money out and am not going to get scammed.

My typing s not too bad and my spelling is good...plus I know how to use a computer.

Why don't you write short stories, essay's, and theses's and submit them to online magazines who are looking for writers for pay or commisions for work, or submit them to literary magazines where you can submit them online.

I have not done it in a long time but when I used to do it and was commited to it, I say I made about 1,000 to 3,000 a month, it's been 2 years since the last time I did it. But it takes a lot of patience and hard work.

Writing fiction isn't very lucrative for the vast majority of people, and most "work at home" schemes I've come across are useless if not fradulent. Depending on what you do, maybe you can do something for your job from home - clerical stuff, etc.

To keep your mind from going, I'd say take just up reading. I can read all day long and never get sick of it. Then again, it hasn't necessarily done anything for my sanity.

Well...all I've done before is work in a pub and before that(when I first did my back in)I was a nurse for people with learning difficulties...all my skills on the pc are self taught and thats only since joining UM that I got them.

Oops...forgot to add...I really want to start to get some money in as well,so do need something to do.

I have one bit of advice for u... DON'T start an online shop. It's hard as hell to advertise. I started one in December last year, and have yet to sell a product via the internet

What about having a look in ur local paper, or phoning local companies to see if they need any typing done? Have u got a printer and Microsoft Word? Things like that may help I guess?

Also.... *gentle hugs* for ur back. I sympathise with u so much here, I hurt my neck almost 2 years ago in a car accident, it's such a horrible thing to suffer.

I then sold it on ebay and made £12 profit
