I found this article on the internet when browsing a forum, which lead me to a website where i found this article and it just took the words right out of my mouth

I very much agree. Money is the curse of this world. When you have it, you start to run out of things to do with it, and when you don't, you always need it. I tend not to think about money, it's the least of important topics that need to take up space in one's mind. People will kill for it, die for it, steal for it, lie for it, cheat for it, conspire for it, destroy themselves/others - lose all their dignity for a few pieces of paper (or plastic, country dependant) and gold-dipped coins. Tell me, where the hell is the logic in that?

if it was'nt money, it would be something else. Greed does'nt necessarily mean money, could mean food, land, anything really.

I'd say people are the most greedy for power. However, money and power tend to be proportional. In my opinion, power is the basis for one's aspiration for money.

Is that why Churchs pass around the collection plate?

The high and mighty man is nothing more than a de-evolved ape. Driven by arrogance, greed, and egotism, man is ultimately destructive.


Organized religion is one of the greatest manifestation of this arrogance, greed, and egotism.

Thats a bit of an overly harsh view, isn't it? Humanity, whilst it is riddled with inepitude, greed, power mongering, etc., has also given rise to a number of good things. The secret seems to be to cherish the little acts of nobility and selflessness that go on, despite the rest of it. That good things can happen in this slightly go off world makes them all the more powerful, right?

not saying i hate the world, i agree with everything everyone is saying. but greed is power, power is money, its vicious cycle.

but that is life, and we are all going to have to deal with it.
