A couple in China have named their baby son Saddam SARS to mark the two important events taking place at the time of his birth, a news report said today. The boy was born on March 20, the day the Iraq war broke out and at a time when alarm over the SARS outbreak was spreading across China.

His parents, from Hubei, have named the boy Saddam Deng SARS, the South China Morning Post reported. Deng is the parent's family name.

When he finds out what he was named after, the child will not like what his parents have done.

I'm not overly familiar with the way the Chinese familly name works but don't they take the fathers first name as a last name for the child . This thing could go on for at least 2 generations .

My god what were these parents thinking??He's going to go through life ridiculed and grilled about his name.SHAME on them!!

Where is the love when you chose a name that targets your child to all the ridicule he or she will go through?
