Who else here plays halo 2 and has mastered all modes? as in easy, normal, heroic and legendary..
so far ive defeated the game on easy, normal, and heroic, but legendary is a pain in the royal @$$ lol im on the level with Master chief where your on High Charity and your chasing the Prophet's of Truth and Mercy..
so who ELSE has defeated it? or if your on legendary just state how far your in xD also i know the prophet of regret is a pain to kill and i cant even begin to immagine what Tartaurus is gonna be like..

I beat the game initially on heroic.... legendary is really a b**** though.... so far I'm up to metropilis.... of course it's been weeks since I touched the campaign.... it also took me days.... yup days... to get through the second hanger on Cairo Station.... until I discoverd how to lunge with the sword and bounce from person to person.... had to get rid of 4 gold(or white) elites and luckily they were all looking the other way so I snuck up and bang bang bang bang.... they were all dead... I was so ecstatic.... now it's childs play

i agree. xbox sucks. it has some cool games, but not too many. i have played Halo 2 on legendary. it isnt really that hard. i found it pretty easy on any mode.

^No, hes just a damn good video game player and Halo 2 really isn`t that hard according to all my friends who bought it, they love the multiplayer, but complain about the one player mode and how crap it is.

True, it's not impossible to beat it... If you wanna real impossible game try Blast Corps for Nintendo 64. You have to be perfect, and I mean absolutely perfect on every level to beat it.
Halo 2 still has enough replay value and awesome graphics to be considerably good. Have you found all the skulls on legendary? Have you mastered the sword slide, where you can cut someone open with the sword across Beaver Creek? Ever used a scarab gun? Ever drove the warthog onto the scarab in the first level? Have you ever gotten all three warthogs into the Chartographer room? Or onto the bridges in "I would have been your Daddy"? Or ontop of the island in silent cartographer and had chicken finghts along the cliffs? Have you beat the game without a damn guidebook?
The sole reason we bought an X-Box was Halo. The Halo franchise single-handedly makes X-Box a mainstream system, I think thats something. So yall can suck my frag grenades.

yes halo 2 on legendary is incredibly hard and it owns all games. the only other game that can really compete with halo 2 besides super mario for the Nes is GTA San Andreas.

Halo 2 is only good for multiplayer (in my opinion). The plot line just stinks compared to the first, I dunno, I just couldn't really get into it and haven't even beat it on easy.

I beat it on legendary . The trick is to always have weapons that compliment each other , and also you need to remember to almost never duel wield . Running in with duels works in other modes but in legendary you will almost always get killed by a sticky or fire because :
-they all have more health then you
-they all do more damage then you
-they all have near perfect accuracy
-all the grunts have stickies with them
that being said your best bet is to use the battle rifle with the sword or shotgun as your 2nd weapon . Chuck grenades into places with large amounts of enemies and then pick them of from afar with headshots . Remember that the battle rifle , carbine , sniper rifle , and beam rifle all can kill anything with a headshot once its shields are down and you will do fine . This includes brutes ( shoot the helemt once and it will fall off , then shoot their head . )

we smoke the good stuff in Germany, mostly oily, dark and psychedelic, sometimes lighter and happy. Only to let you know, I am one of the Inner Circle!!!
But nevertheless my opinion about Halo is truely inspired by the experiences I had with State of the Art Games like Halflife2 or Farcry and that I missed while gaming Halo2!But we shouldn't mind, maybe it is just different point of views

ya i just beated the game on legendary, i found tartaurus easier then regret.. but i guess thats cause regret had help with tons of grunts and elites with swords, tartaurus had no help lol but still u had to keep a distance and use the carbine cause that hammer >.<

once you get the hang of it tarterus is really quite easy
exsepet on hard or lengendary(spelled wrong ) ather brutes come into the arena

Halo 2 on legendary isn't hard, at least in the sense that it could be a lot harder. The AI allows you plenty of time to hide behind a pillar and recharge your shields. If it was smart, they'd all surround you and you wouldn't have a hope in hell... Good thing they don't...
Anyway, I'm on the level "Uprising". The Brute Shot absolutely rules this level. Funny, I never thought the Shot was that useful on Heroic (or any other difficulty setting for that matter). Oh well.
And btw, the Hangar Bay 2 sequence that you all find so hard from Cairo Station... I actually found Hangar Bay 1 to be harder. Go figure. Try killing Brutes and going back to that level though - dead easy.

The best thing about legendary, is that the dialogue changes during the cut scences. I especially like Sgt Johnsons dialogue at the beginning of the Metropolis level. Its hilarious.

I can't get enougth of the origonal halo. SO cool! Oh yes.
the original was good entertainment! me and my friend would stay up til 2 or 3 in the morning just to try and beat the last level on legendary in co- op. wed always get to the last parts and the place would blow up

Aside from the inferior campaign in H2 , the problem lies in the weapons . 80% of the weapons and DW combos in halo 2 are useless for anything other then close range . This means the first player to get a battle rifle , carbine , sniper rifle , or sword will own everyone . In halo 1 everyone spawned with the pistol which was rounded off to be an all range weapon . Think of how sucky halo 1 would have been if you spawned with the assualt rifle and not the pistol ... first person to spawn by the pistol would just triple headshot everyone from far away and win . This is how Halo 2 is with the rifles .

Haha, n00b - Walken can beat the leval by himself on legendary.
ive beated halo and halo 2 on legendary by myself, personally i think halo 1 has its good spots and halo 2 has its, both are great games, lets see what halo 3 brings us.
If just one thing is certain, its that Halo has a far superior campagin.
Halo 1 was an excellent game. the campaign mode was so cool and the multiplayer was great too. Halo 2 was pretty lame on campaign mode but the multiplayer on that was good too. id say Halo 1 was better than 2.
But the Halo campagin ended rather arubtly, and kind of stole the vibe of MGS.
i dont think ive ever actually gotten to the end of the game ive only played on co-op at some friends houses, but not long enough to beat it. It is very fun tho.

In the final level you must outwit an ancient AI construct and destroy 'The Pillr of Autum', before escaping down a very long road, across bridges (which explode) on a wart hog to get to an evac ship, before the Pillar explodes, destroying Halo.
