Ipod was not beat, but owned ages ago by a little company I like to call Creative. Apple still dominates the market because of their lust to feed off of the ignorance of the normal consumer, and swallow up your money in a flash. Just think about it, the Creative Zen is cheaper, better, and has so many more features than the Ipod. To listen to radio or use the voice recorder on the Ipod, for instance, you have to buy seperate attachments that go on one at a time while Creative has it ALL built in one, awesome product. Creative is one of the pioneers in computer audio, and they've been around for quite some time now. Apple continues to lead because a strong trend is a hard trend to break. I wish people knew more about electronics and see how much they were ripping themselves off when they bought and Ipod because it's the HIP thing to do, and because it's the best mp3 player. no.gif

I got an iPod for Christmas last year. I have no compliants about it, but I also don't use the headphones, and used to cart around 20 pounds of CD's everyday to and from school. So it is nice to not have to carry all of those things around with me, instead it all fits in my pocket. But on the other hand, I know almost nothing of technology...

Either way, I am happy with my iPod. If I had to be nit-picky, I would wish that the battery lasted longer.

i have a muvo slim (creative).. it's 1/3 of an inch thick, and like 2.5 inches by 3.5 inches or something like that... it has 512 MB and with 2 year warrenty, it cost $180. It has a voice recorder, and a radio. It also has a lithium ion battery, so it charges through the USB port. And all you do is drag and drop files into the f drive...

Oh, I'll beat the iPod all right.... angry.gif

I actually still live with my CD's, I rip all the files onto my PC, but whenever I'm out and about I'll use my CD player. £12 for a player nowadays if you know where to look, £5 a CD. thumbsup.gif

Don't use those crappy headphones, I use my own. They work beautifully.

The PSP is my brothers MP3 player now rolleyes.gif . I don't know why you guys are still using these iPods when there are obviously some problems to them.
TheOriginalF
I don't know, the 40g 4th gen Ipod I have is pretty bad ass! I've loaded about 400 cds into it and still have a great deal of space left, the sound quality is much better than I expected, and the battery will usually last me around 6-7 hours.

I still largely listen to CDs and Records but nothing beats it when I'm on the road! No more carrying tons of cds with me everywhere I go, and that alone was worth the money.

Yeah, The battery does go pretty fast. My first one went pretty quick, 4 months. But thats because I used it a whole lot...(Homeschooled, So i use it all day) and around the house. But thats what a warranty is for. rofl.gif

Damn straight. I wanna get me the 40gb zen mp3 player from them. It's pretty much the same as an ipod, but at least $100 cheaper.
