Darkwind
I have been rather inspired to write some poems lately.

Red Leaf

A twig snapped and
Echoed about the trees,
I could feel it coming
Like a hard cold wind.
There it is was before me,
Its folded paper face as old as time.
Black claws ripped at me and
Tried to tear away my soul.
I tumbled to earth like a crumpled leaf
It laid way at me
Until I was scared and bleeding.
I grip the soil of the Earth in my hands
And turned, foul creature, I cried,
Look upon the body of our Mother,
I through the dark soil at it.
The soil fanned into great black wings.
The creature tried to run
As the wings enveloped it.
Crushing it into a small red leaf.
Not so brave I see, as I put it in my pocket.

Walk

I walk with the Goddess,
When stumble she steadies me,
When I fall she lifts me,
When I cry out her wings enfold me,
I walk with Love.

Darkwind
Daughter of the Nine Moons
Its folded paper face as old as time

I love that line
