Do you think the EVP's are fake? I don't know! The one that drew my attention was the one with the cloaked figure coming towards and running away from the camera. Freaky!

I think that some EVP's are real, but could probably be explained by interference of some sort. But I have heard some pretty convincing ones. I think most of it comes down to the power of suggestion, kind of like backmasking. You don't really hear anything until it is suggested to you. But there are some out there that I can not just brush off, those are the neat ones.

What really amazes me about EVP's is not really what people believe is being said, but more so the voices that are speaking. When you can distinctly hear the difference in an old person's voice and say, a child's... it's pretty incredible.

Yes jessicalawes11, it is never smart to watch ghost footage in the dark. I made that mistake once...never again.

Everyone who understand German and is interested in this topic should reaad that particular book - it is amazing!

Don't be sorry. This web site is for TAPS which has a show on the sci-fi channel. I watched them every wednesday night and I watched this episode. After they caught it on film they went back and tried to reproduce it using one of the crew and a blanket and they couldn't reproduce it since it seems almost like the figure is walking backward perfectly, no feet showing so completely covered and then dashing forward.

The problem with all of this is that one of the crew disappeared that night during the filming. He was supposed to be watching the monitors and equipment and they found him across the street at the gym flirting. Could he have pulled off something they couldn't reproduce and ran off to the gym to flirt? If he was really trying to fake it, wouldn't it have made more sense to fake it and then return to his post.

The footage I always found amazing is the moving chair in the attic of the light house.

And the really creepy EVPs are from the guy who lives in the same house that generations of his family have lived in. There was a creepy male voice that said his name.

I'm in the middle of the Senkowski book at the moment....I wouldn't reccomend it for the simple reason that it almost all about the technicalities of the subject and to be hionest it's pretty boring.But on the Worlditc website it's free.Most of the other books there are also free to download and i have to say they are a better introduction to the subject than senkowskis.
A good introduction is Friedrich Jurgensons book,he is one of the pioneers of the subject and you will be starting at the beginning.
Senkowskis book is more for practiced researchers IMO ......!!!!

This video is most likely a spoof. The thing on camera looks too corporeal to be a ghost and the movement is identical to someone in a robe doing a 180 turn. They should stick with flirting...

This sounds more like an unedicated opinion than anything. If you have watched all the episodes then I would love to hear what about this group you feel is fake?

Kewl film btw but as for proof of Ghostly atctivity then i dont know.. Finally saw the legs which makes me sucpicous an if it is a fake then it looks good anyway..

I have yet to watch it in the dark which is why I probably didn't see the legs. I'll have to do that!

the hairs totally stood up on my arms when I watched the video clip! I dunno if it is real or not, but it spooked me. I actually thought that whatever 'it' is, it looks like its wearing sneakers.

I also saw the legs, which look either completely bare, or covered in some bright clothing. Also, if you look at the dust particles floating around, I think it is a possibility that the tape has been sped up maybe 3 to 4 times, in order to make the running person look more like a ghost. The dustparticles move like there is a strong breeze in there, and while I cannot say there wasn't, I definately think it is possible for the dustparticles to be normal stirred up particles, which move quite slowly, sped up 3 to 4 times.

Just a possibility though.

Maybe someone skilled in video editing could slow the video down a couple of times and see what the results look like. The video is at 25 FPS, so the slowed-down result should still be watchable. Maybe a slight motion-blur filter would give it back some smoothness, what do I know...
Would be cool to see someone give it a go tho, doesn't have to be fancy.


EDIT: Also, looking at it slowed down in Winamp (fancy eh?) I think it quite clearly shows someone backtracking torwards the camera (thus becoming hard to see with the cloak covering the backside) and then suddenly changeing direction and speeding forward, thus making the cloak whirl and reveal the legs of the person wearing them.

Looks quite cheap if I may say so...

That would definately be interesting to see. I have a few friends who may be able to do this for us. I'll see if any of them have any free time right now.

Hey Blazer. You still have avoided answering my question. You say it is a "fake site". Have you even seen the Ghost Hunters show on tv? It seems your strong "fact" throwing of it being fake is based on just browsing around after never previously hearing about the group or seeing any of their shows.

Anything can be faked. I know digital artists (like the one who made my icon from a picture of myself I emailed them) who could create some of the most realistic ghosts imaginable. It is the research into the situation of how things are done and what was happening when the photo, video or EVP was taken that helps determine the authenticity of a claim. It also has to do with witnesses and documenting everything that could be a cause.

You are, of course, entitled to your opinion as we all are. I think many of us are pointing you out because you are stating your opinion as fact. I do not believe that their site is a fake because I have seen the show and seen videos of these things happening. Though the particular video we are speaking of could be explain by one of their crew who ran off to go flirt with girls at the gym across the street. He could have faked the video and when they found him across the street they chewed him out big time because it could cause their evidence to be discredited.

I will say only once again that you are providing nothing that would make me believe anything else. Put some claims up besides single sentences and perhaps I may begin to change my mind. As rayce stated, you are avoiding the question.
