Okay, we all know that people belive reincarnation is when the soul moves on to another body when we die. But we all know that the Earth won't go on forever. One day, the sun will go boom and Earth will be fried. So if reincarnation is true, (And I'm not saying it is or isn't) what will happen to the souls then? Will they go to alien lifeforms? Go back in time? End altogether? I just wonder... thumbsup.gif

Well, five billion years is a long time to wait, but I highly doubt souls will care about the sun exploding. We can just instantaneously travel to someplace else, but I guess we will just have to wait and see. Besides, there have been some cases of people thinking they were the reincarnation of non-earth creatures. I remember hearing something about a girl that was having regressions, saying she was a slave, had a number for a name, and was under someones control. I don't know of a place like this on Earth, nor do I want too.

I guess so! I mean, if it is a never ending cycle, I guess it doesn't have to end here! Thanks for the opinion! thumbsup.gif

I mean, personally, I'm Christian and don't really belive in reincarnation, but I keep an open mind!

You're a christian and you don't believe in reincarnation ?
Are you waiting for the second coming of jesus ?
jessicalawes11
Yeah, it kind of came out wrong! Sorry! I meant I'm more of a beliver in Heaven for us when we die, but yes, I belive that Jesus was resurrected!

But it's my opinion, so don't think I'm trying to change your minds! original.gif

I don't think we always come back to this planet. We have much to learn and I don't think that this planet can completely fill those needs. As well I believe that the Earth is a living being so naturally after it has blown up it will reincarnate.

Another good theory!

No i didn't ask if you believe that Jesus was resurrected after his death on the cross
I asked if you believe that he is about to be reincarnated in line with christian philosophy
He died for your sins remember
and according to christianity he is about to be reincarnated to show you all the way again
so its like he died for your sins as a mortal man and then gets to come back again
The metaphysical equivalent of a get out of jail free card in monopoly where all the other players aren't allowed to roll the dice

Either he died for your sins or not
what is it christian ?

P.S. don't take this too seriously

I don't

so this is from a christian point of view. in the bible it says that christ died for us, once and for all. meaning that we only need to ask him into our lives once, and then that would be suffiecient. so if reincarnation was true then jesus would have to die numerous times for each time that we came back as another being.to me this means that reincarnation is ruled out. but i guess that only means something if you believe in the bible.

If we get reincarnated, it is logical that all life in the universe gets reincarnated so we can come back as anything in any part of the universe, IMO anyway.

grin2.gif IMHO, it is the spirit which reincarnates, and by that I mean the mind+soul. There are good reasons not only for distinguishing mind from body, but for distinguishing soul from mind. This spirit we inhabit is designed for the species Homo Sapiens, so if the species suddenly went extinct, we (we being souls) would need to discard those minds and find some other adventure to get involved in. So it is essentially the same problem when the Sun becomes a lovely planetary nebulae in 5 or 10 billion years, and first desiccates Earth, and then blows it into interstellar dust particles (many carrying bacterial spores ready to reseed new planets). So once again our souls will need to find some new playground, perhaps a new planet in an early stage of development. As the billions of years go by, the most habitable part of the galaxy steadily moves farther from the center, and so will we, forgetting all about Earth, but possibly taking with us our spiritual evolution, or devolution. Sounds a bit wacko, doesn't it, in today's reductionist worldview? blink.gif
