Here's a link that I found. It's suppose to be a ghost or spirit froma haunting or something like that. Do you all think it's real or nah a fake?

That pic could be real or could be fake!! As it was on three different pictures and in different rooms of the house, id say it was more real than fake but i could be wrong.. Could be a Spirit trying to manifest or a whole load of dust cus they didnt clean the house for along time original.gif Kewl though..

Wonder what other people will make of it.. thumbsup.gif

Well... if we suppose the pic is a fake.. I can say that faking a picture, making it look like that is not hard.. not hard at all.. But! It's not sure it's a fake.. I totally belive in spirits, Ghosts, Phantoms or whatever you'd like to call them.. and I wouldn't be surprised if those pictures are real.. not at all.. But still.. I like seeing things from different perspectives.. I belive that I get a bigger vision about the things if I do..

But about the picture.. I wont say anything about it cuz I'm still suspicious about it.. But I'm NOT saying that it is a fake.. I'm just saying that I need more time to think about it^^
gazerbeams
That could easily be done in photoshop or psp using the paint brush option, set to lower opacity. I don't think they're real.
Neo2005
Definatly an interesting pic.
maybe be a smudge on the negative?
FLY SPITTA
Yeah I can't reallt tell if it's real or fake. I don't think there was a smudge on the negative but I think it could have been done in photoshop. Easily tampered with....
distortedpandy
I think that is a photoshop pic... no.gif
Fable
It appears that the "apparition" is not in the atmosphere at all. By looking at all three images, it's pretty evident that they are right on the camera lens itself. It actually almost looks like some type of makeup smudge, like some type of powder. Either that or, as mentioned... more photoshop garbage.
Kerkido
The image has a liquidy-like transparency.. It's too fake for my liking.
absinthegreen329
Quite frankly, it doesn't look like anything to me. Nope, I don't see anything. Just another smudge on the camera, or maybe a piece of string. Something like that. Oo, now that I think about it, it could be a ghost thumb...scary.

Hi,
I believe these photos to be real,....I think that if it were a "Smudgy lens" that each ghostly area would be relatively in the same spot of the photo,(such as..... each smudge would be in the lower left corner an inch from the edge) but in each of the photos, the apparition is in a different location, and you truly get the feeling that it is moving around. I want to believe(and HOPE) that not everyone is out to "trick" whoever they can, and that whoever took these photos really believes that they have a "Visitor" and that they are sharing their experiences with us. yes.gif
jessicalawes11
I don't know...

It could be real, but it would be easy to do on photoshop.
jessicalawes11
It seems a little bit on a coincidence that they would randomly take a picture of a bed...
Hoagy
I dunno, I know Dan, the guy who took the photos, he runs a local ghost hunters' society. He takes his work very seriously so I would like to say it's not a fake, but that does'nt mean that it is not some kind of imperfection (i.e. smudge etc.)

absinthegreen329
Hey Hoagy, that could be even more reason for it to be fake. He wants to believe so badly, that anything is a ghost to him. Not saying it's true, but just an idea, as I don't know the guy.

Very true, very true indeed. wink2.gif

I don't think that it's an intentional fake.
But the object isn't interacting with any of the backgrounds, We call that a "Floater" in the Ghost hunting group I'm with. It happens when particles get trapped in the workings of the Camera. (Say when you replace the lens or perform maintenance)
We were capturing "Ghosts" very similar to those for months, in all variety of positions before routine maintenance found that all we had was a piece of spooky yarn. lol
Fable
I suppose we all have our ghosts.

*Giggles,.....I understand how you would think that taking random pictures around your house is a little on the "Strange things to do" side, but after the first few "Captures" that I got from my home, I too take many many random shots yes.gif
ROGER
Most of the newer GHOST pictures are at night using flash. The ones I think have more credibility are ones taken in the day time. Less chance of an optical illusion.
FLY SPITTA
Strange I did a little experiment around the house today with my camera phone. I took random shots and nothing came out a all. I always felt kinda spooked in my house too. And nothing! I say it's film messed up in most pics or photoshop. But my cell picked up nothing.

Conspiracy
id have to agree with most people that it was prolly done in photoshop... cause it doesnt look that all convincing lol

Hi,..maybe you need to concentrate on sending a mental message to the occupants of "The Other Side", and allow them to see and feel your positive intentions of making contact with someone from that realm,.... Do you have someone that has already passed over? If you do,...don't you every now and then find yourself talking to them,....and silently hoping that they are listening to your wants and needs,....as you would in prayer.....send your messages in that manner,.....then repeat it for a few days,....then take your random shots. Who knows,......maybe they will come after you give them a proper invitation. cool.gif
scrdshtlss
that's got to be one of the worst fakes ive ever seen... makes me want to break out some photoshop and digicam and go to a graveyard
Cadman
Absolutely fake. Photoshop'd. Look at these 2 pics. 1 real, the other a 15 second photoshop manipulation I just did:

Look in the mirror

[attachmentid=13507]
[attachmentid=13508]

Same effect: Healing Brush tool.
HowdyDoo
Yep, this would be too easy to fake.

I spent an entire day taking pictures at a supposedly haunted cemetery. Got nothing. Zero. Zilch. Zip. Why can't ghosts cooperate?

BTW...Fable, I love your avatar and pics. Is there really someone else out there that loved The Phantom? I saw it twice, and I've already got the movie on pre-order. Can't wait.

good job, but if you look at the pics in question, it does seem to be inbetween the camera and the bed. I know it could be a smudge on the lens, but would they change in each photo? I know you said it only took 15 seconds to do, and I know nothing about photo shop, so I can't comment on how easy it is to fake.

Intriguing tho...

you can check out the guys homepage at Will County Ghost Hunters Society there are some very interesting EVPs on there too.
