I had a smart car like the above one when they first came into the UK. Then I had a crash with a lorry, that car saved my life! Twas a sad day they really are fab cars not only are they really safe cars they are fantastic on gas consumption. Oh and I am tall and they have loads of leg room and height inside even though you wouldn't think so.

Unfortunatly... with all the huge SUV's and Hummers being driven around here (Seattle area atleast) I only see disaster with them... they're to small for people who drive those behemouths to see them >.<

Shame though... I've always prefered smaller cars and trucks....

There are quite a few smart cars around these parts. A guy a few doors down has the smart roadster. HERE's the official UK website. They seem to start for about £7,000. I think they'd be fun for city driving, but I don't know how safe they would feel going at higher speeds.
