im sure this question has been asked by others on UM, but im very curious to see what you all think... What does everyone think happens to you after you die? everyone who reads this post say something, dont shrug it off, everyone has to have a theory =).... THANX UM!!!!

I believe that we go to the same place that we came from when we were born i.e. nowhere.
whoa182
That would make sense

I believe that our mind is our connection with our spirit - that it can either trap it or set it free. Those who believe in heaven, hell trap themselves there, while those who believe in reincarnation allow themselves to be reincarnated. I believe it's whatever you believe - and I know we have spirits. It would make sence that we are reincarnated, and perhaps we all go to a heaven or hell for at least some time. But eventually, the circle of life starts again, and one's spirit is reincarnated in another avatar.

I like to believe but in another forum someone said that dinosaurs were around for millions of years...so if theres a God why werent we created first ???????????????
If we were spiritual beings placed on Earth....why would other species have been here millions of years before us ?
A strong argument for the evolved ape theory ?
Are we just kidding ourselves that theres more ?
whoa182
Because some people around here think that dinasaurs co-existed with mordern humans!

If we have unfinish business then we will stay as a ghost but if our life is compleat then we just fade away or reincarnate.
As I have said before....Heaven or Hell is only what we make it to be.

Is that how you justify that part of religious extremism that contradicts its self?

Can I ask you this? do you pity me, and feel sorry for me, being I have had the chance to "repent" and that soon my soul is going to burn in agony for all eternity? Do you pray for people like me? Doesn’t it make to horribly unhappy that you come to a forum where so many of us ignorant souls will suffer in the fires of hell?.

To me when we die our body goes back to the earth, our soul goes home form where it originated from, the eternal consciousness of the god head of astral light.

Some souls have separated them self from the god light, because of fear and ignorance, and because of greed, hate, and selfishness, these souls that are lost go naturally to the reality that suits there mind set, these unfortunate folk are not condemned by anyone, but by them selves, as free will gives us the opinion to love or to hate, so people that judge and condemn others and hate and harm will go to a place that is dark, depressing, and oppressive, just as there mind state has become, they will dwell with others with a equal mind state. The spirit world works on vibration of spirit, love speeds up the vibration of spirit, hate and ignorance slows it down, the faster the vibration of love, the higher the reality the spirit will live on after they separate from there physical bodies, the slower the vibration the lower and darker the reality the person will live on after there physical death.

Basically I believe that we make our own spirit existence according to how we treated others, not on what we believed. Like attacks like on earth, so I dont see why the spirit world is any different. If people went around attacking people in life, (physically or mentally) and condemning everyone then they will become apart of a world where everyone is just like them, and they will have to suffer the very ignorance that they directed at others before there "death". Its like the spiritual form of karma

Love and your receive love back, hate and your receive that back too. By condemning someone to hell because they dont think as you do, is the ultimate act of hate, and is the worse example of mocking the love of god.

For an example of the hell of ignorance I talk of, please have a look at the following link if you have not already done so.

I was always told that when we die we leave energy behind. What kind, I don't know, be it wind, water, or whatever...It would be poetic justice if I were to become a zephyr, at least to some anyway... original.gif
whoa182
We do leave energy behind, is it true that energy can neither be created or destroyed, its just transfered ?

Someone Confirm that.. blush.gif

so you basicly go into the earth or whatever. You are effectivly immortal within the universe (your energy), but your memory, concsiousness is not. We know for memory + consc.. you need a physical brain

Having had an NDE, I visit the NDERF forum.
It is here that I found this post, and agree that this is what I believe as well happens to you when you die.

The blackness of death caused by the collapse of the senses, recedes and is dispelled by the light of Spirit. When the brain shuts down, the electromagnetic field permeating the central nervous system dissolves, and the luminous energy field disengages form its former home, the body, to become one with Spirit again.

This is like the light of dawn breaking on a cloudless sky, and you recognize that you are one with the dawning light. We are all star travelers, and at some point we re-embark on our great journey through the Milkey Way and beyond.

Many people have neglected the spiritual dimension in there pursuit of material gratification.
We cannot take our worldy possessions into the beyond.
Dont settle for comfort over discovery.
Material consumption cannot substitute for SELF DISCOVERY.

God is (PURE)ENERGY. Inexhaustible consciousness which is in everthing.

The indigenous North American Indians had it right.
They did not believe in the sky-God religions.

They had great homage for Nature.
But more importantly, much more importantly they had great veneration for the components of the Nature Of Nature.

According to them God is a gigantic energy field, infinite consciousness which is in all that exists. And we are individual consciousness in this ocean of consciousness. It is the same fundamental law as inseparable droplets of water joining togather to form the seas.

We are all cells in the individual body of God.

We are the God Matrix

We are the energy within the energy, mass producing form the Original.

God does not have to prove Himself to you. God DOES help people, when they ask. And I mean when you actually start repsecting God first.

As for what a soul is, a soul is electrical energy. All livings things got one.

Anyway LE,

To answer this post, you either go to Heaven (the 3rd Heaven to be more precise), Sheol (Pegatory) which is three portals to divide the good bad and in-between or one of the several hells. Some of these are transitory after a certain amount of time. Cute little green dino (?) there btw lol

Who is afraid of death?
I have never come across such a person.
And almost every person I have come across is afraid of life.

Drop fear of life...because either you can be afraid or you can live; it is up to you.
And what is there to be afraid of?
You can't lose anything, but you have everything to gain.
Drop all fears and jump totally into life.

I personally think that Turtle got it right, that's the way I think too, tranferance of energy. Something that is actually credible, because it happens around us all the time, it's even happening in front of your face as you type on this forum.

When a believer talks to a non believer, do they pity them because they 'know' they are going to hell?

I think God shows himself all the time.
Rather look about you and you shall see Him playing with your children.
And look into space; you shall see Him walking in the cloud, outstretching His arms in the lightning and descending in rain.
You shall see Him smiling in flowers, then rising and waving His hands in trees.

i dont know about anyone else, believers i mean, but i pity nobody... i love everyone... i am saddened that some people that i considered friends are probably going to go to hell, and ive done all i can to help them, but i pity nobody, because if we pity, then we think we are better than those we pity, and i am better than nobody, we are all equal in the eyes of God and the eyes of Jesus, thats why we are to love everyone as we love The Father.

Hi LoVer_Of_GoD

Thank you for showing me how lucky I am, its folk like your self that remind me that I had a good up bringing, and that I should appreciate what I have, and how I was brought up, because it could have been so much worse. Fear is mentally crippling, and I hope you find you way out of your rut one day.

If it wasn’t for people with horrific mind sets as your self, I might well have been a Christian now, but there is no way I can take part in something so cold, cruel, and heartless. Again I hope you can find away out of your pit of fear, because it is polluting your heart, and poisoning those around you.

Thanks again for showing me how lucky I am to be free, and how to love others.

I wish peace can come to you soon, and you can deprogram that hate and fear soon.

I also hope that Jesus Christ can forgive you for accusing him of being cold hearted, and an egotistical tyrant.

when did i call Jesus cold hearted? im in no rut of fear.. i fear nothing.. i dont have to... i am anxious for death, and i am joyous for my life... i have nothing to fear for the Lord is my shephard, and with Him i shall not falter. So, my friend... the fear lies in ur heart, the fear of being held responsible for ur life... its so easy to turn ur back on God, its so easy to hate Him, but its even easier and rewarding to open ur heart and accept the truth that He is the creator, the father, and the lord of all... whether u like it or not, the end is inevitable.... whether God exists or not, when i die, i will be happy, for i will know that i led my life in a good way, and i was able to overcome my trials and problems, but i know that God does exist, i know that there is an omnipotent, omniscient being that watches and listens, for He has helped me through my many afflictions... i could not have done anything without the spirit of the Father in me, and i give all the glory, i give all my life to Him, because without Him, im would be dead... just as all my friends are...

Hi "LoVer_Of_GoD"

QUOTE
when did i call Jesus cold hearted?

When you took on board the belief that god was cruel and vengeful. To think that those that dont worship Jesus are going to suffer the worst of evils in hell, is when you called Jesus cold hearted. Jesus loved not hated, and your slandering his good name.

QUOTE
im in no rut of fear.. i fear nothing..

My parents warned me about religious extremists people when I was a child, as they had seen the evils it had done to people around them, so I was always conscious of the dangers of religious extremists from a young age, and of religious fascism, so I have done a lot of study into religious extremism in my adult life, because I wanted to understand how someone could fear god, and use so much hate towards others, and I always found my self coming back to the same conclusion, that all forms of extremism where caused by fear, and most of the time it was fear of life, and sometime of death, and more than not, the person in that fear was in denial of that fear, and totally ignorant of it. Always I found a hidden factor for that fear, and that they where always hiding from something that they could not face, and extremism gave them a false sense of comfort, it gave them a crutch to stand on, it helped them cover up the real issues in there life, such as a lack of self love, and a lack of confidence, and life skills. Drug addicts do exactly the same thing, and both religious extremism and drugs are horribly self destructive.

QUOTE
So, my friend... the fear lies in ur heart, the fear of being held responsible for ur life...

First I would be apprehensive about being your friend, as you seem to think your friends are all going to burn in hell, I’m guessing you dont have very good friendship skills.

Believe me I have had personal experiences, and I have studied the after life and the psychology of god ( I have a healthy obsession for it) and one thing its done has diminished any fear I might have had of life after death. See its experience and knowledge that causes one not to be ignorant of things.

I have taken responsible for my life, because I am fully aware of that beautiful thing free will and I have asked for forgiveness from the ones I might have hurt in the past, I have taken responsibility for my actions upon others personally, I have not used God or a devil as a scapegoat. My asking for forgiveness from the ones I have harmed personally, brings me salvation beyond someone blaming Satan for there wrong doings.

QUOTE
its so easy to turn ur back on God, its so easy to hate Him, but its even easier and rewarding to open ur heart and accept the truth that He is the creator, the father, and the lord of all...

I would never turn my back on God, as God is connected to me, I am apart of god, to turn your back on god is to turn your back on your self. Hate him? no way, god gave me, me, I love him/her, and am eternally grateful for everything God has given me.

QUOTE
whether u like it or not, the end is inevitable

QUOTE

QUOTE

Lover of god, how can you love god when you fear god, and you think god is a wrathful monster? That sends people to burn in hell just for getting his/her name wrong? I would find it very hard to love something like that, its a good job I know different, as I might have lost the will to live, and become unhappy, suppressed, and fearful. Thank god for learning.

My beliefs of the after life is just killing my mind some times I believe it some times I don't.

This is an excerpt of a vision I had few years back, then wrote down on paper to understand it and if I ever wanted to share it with others. Don't take it as ultimate truth this vision was for me and not for anybody else.

What is expected from us, well that is for us to decide we are all expressions of God. One whose soul can create the art of evil and good, one whose body can take of carnal desires and worldly suffering, one who can make of their own destiny. If you want to be “good” of the soul and reject the body so be it, go travel in the realms of the souls and play, sing, dance and create with angels for eternity in praise of a God who find such foolish muses entertaining. Or disregard the soul and be “evil” take the body of selfish carnal pleasures and be reincarnated to a body in an endless loophole that will whither the soul away to an minuscule particle that will take dwelling in a small bodily object such as a rock. Its not of God to tell you what to do with out your consent nor will I, I am no prophet or a spiritual guide. What is my choice of life after death, to be a god of my own, and search for oneness.

you see, this is what I was saying. You are making a statement that is so 'matter of fact'. How do you know this is the truth? (without telling me 'because it's in the bible'). If you are secure in what you are about, be happy in that and that alone without feeling that you have to 'save' others.

A flock also reflects herd mentality.

In this life there are leaders and there are followers, I know which one I am.

LOG.
I realize that you personally may not have said these things, but the catholic religion does.
Therin lies the difference.
Your religion speaks of love, understanding, love thy neighbour...etc, yet I have yet to see that here.
Religion is NOT SECULAR, it is UNIVERSAL.
Man has made it secular, and MAN uses fear to manipulate and control.
You may not realize this but you have been programmed, we all have been programmed.
Up until 3 years ago I was programmed as well.
After my NDE, it became very aware to me that we are doing this WRONG..
There are many catholics that I have met thru NDERF, that still maintain a link with the COMMUNITY of the catholic church, but do not subscribe to the programming, postulated by the churech.
It is wrong, it is a lie, and it is going to change.
God is LOVE..period
LoVer_Of_GoD
what is secular? i dont know what that means... sorry. i dont understand what u mean about it being universal... i believe that u dont have to be in a religion.... u just have to accept Jesus as ur savior... not join a religion, or denomination... man made the religion and denominations to separate themselves from others... God made belief and truth to bring us all together with his love for us.
