Has anyone seen alien big cats in the mid west. Well I live in east central no mountains near me it was when I was 8 years old me my dad and mom went out to a scout camp and we were hiking around along a river and came upon a Mountain Lion, or Couger it looked at us and let out a roar then it took off as we stood around wondering what the heck we had seen. Has anyone else seen these cats this far away from the mountains. Not really a crypto but still kinda werid as the cats are not seen here.

About 5 years ago I tracked and spotted a mountain lion in the northernmost county in Mich.(Keweenaw County). I lived there for a little over 30 years and never had heard of any cats there. The DNR(Dept. of Nat. Resources) hadn't either. Now there are many pics, scat and fur samples, track molds. The DNR still wont admit that they are there. A friend of mine took a pic of a cat with some kits. A breeding population. There have been a few lambs taken and a horse was attacked and had to be put down. The cats are out there. Their solitary and nocturnal nature keeps them out of the limelight.

Cougars in the midwest isn't an alien cat... Cougars roam, or used to roam, all over the country. From alaska to the southern tip of chile...
They're seeming slowly taking back thier old territories.
