the sens will likely stand pat, unless alfie and redden aren't back, or they may look for another goalie the way gerber has worked out.
sens need a bit more solid defense, and as always, better goaltending to put them over the top.
and i guess look for the panthers to be dealing roberts and jokinen, but not to any temas in the east.
but what the hell do i know????
What the heck ever happened to Patrick Lalime? Wasn't he supopsed to be the next BIG thing?(considering the AMAZING start to his career in Pittsburg) It just seems to be a bit of a revolving door in goal there, which is odd, beacuse I thought that Emery and Gerber were playing well(something tells me that the Sens have come so close in the playoffs previously, that anything less than a Stanley Cup Finals appearence spells DOOM for the starting goalie).
I can see Roberts, Gelinas, Gratton, Stumpel, Salei, and possibly Montador(given his Stanley Cup Finals experience with The Flames) all being dealt at one time or another.....but if they trade Jokinen......then sound the "death knell" for The Panthers, that would signal a MAJOR rebuilding process and scrapping of this season and possibly(given the nature of free agency) the next. The Panthers "core" players(or as I like to call them..."The Untouchables") are as follows....Jokinen, Horton, Weiss, Olez, Stewart(in the AHL San Antonio), Bouwmeester, Allen, Mezei, and Van Ryn(Bouwmeester, Allen, and Mezei are the big, mobile defensemen that are at a premium....Van Ryn was STOLEN from St. Louis 3 years ago and has a CANNON for a shot).
I agree with you Jeceris, if they do ANY trading at all, it won't be to any teams in their division(not to sure about the East "on the whole"), the LAST thing you want to see is a well motivated, talented, upset player who feels they were direspected by the organization(and have a point to prove, lol).
