ok, well im new here ... yet another sleepless night with all the lights turned on in my house... i came here because well, as my name says without the vowels i am scared ... well you can figure out the rest... but anywho i need to vent my frustration about what's been going on for the past year or so.

all started about a year ago when i moved outta my parents house into an apartment with some friends of mine.. the person i lived with was always joking about some ghost ... i never believed in the 'paranormal' things as i had never had personal experience with them... she had 2 kids and the 2 year old daughter was the one she said was having contact with these ghosts or whatever she told me stories about this or that and the girl talking and playing with the ghost all day... i always told her she was crazy for believing that stuff.. till day we were all sitting around watching TV and her daughter started doing some strange strange things, like looking straight at nothing and talking all serious and well beyond the means of a 2 year old... but at the moment i played it off to something she must have seen on TV, then she runs up stairs and theres a lot of crashing noises and we all run up to check on her, and her little bed was all messed up, the contents of her closet and toy chest were dumped out, and there was a piece of wood sticking INTO the ceiling.. this ofcourse freaked us all out a bit, and we kept a close watch on her... but later that night after we all went to bed i was sleeping on the couch, and one of my friends had come over and fallen asleep on the floor below me, and at about 2 in the morning i heard a childs voice saying 'Wake up Wake up' and felt something pushing on my back shaking me, i rolled over and my friend was in mid air jumping away from the couch, yelling 'what the hell was that' that was just the beginning, strange things happened every now and then, and one night i got fed up, while i was laying in bed watching a movie, i kept hearing foot steps and such and anger and disbelief got the best of me, i reasoned all of it away with logic, and it persisted... i finally challenged it by saying 'ok if you're real prove it, do something right NOW' and well about 2 seconds later my guitar started making noises and lemme tell ya i was up quick turning lights on in that place... i moved back home a month or so later due to an eviction...
i thought all my paranormal troubles were over, but aparently they are not... i've never heard of ghosts or spirits being able to physically harm a person, yet i will be walking around late at night, and feel a cold cold chill and terror to my bones, and feel actual pressure on my body, usually on my right arm or shoulder, and one time something pulled my legs out from under me while i was working on my car... and just tonight the scariest thing of all happened.... about 15 or 20 minutes ago, i was getting up to get a drink and was stopped dead in my tracks, i felt as if something was watching me about to slice my throat open, i mean i was terrified... then i got this hellacious cold chill and once again, i felt a hand on my shoulder, it was firm and was pulling me back, i spun around and flung my fist thru the air hoping to find something i could actually hit ... but there was nothing there .. my dog was growling at me, or my direction .. and she ran back behind my cedar chest growling and i saw a figure or a misty looking human shaped something whatever ... movin across my kitchen infront of me, into my living room and thru my front door...

WILL SOMEONE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TELL ME WHAT IS GOING ON IN MY HOUSE... i cant sleep nights anymore... please someone tell me im not going crazy...

Has anyone else experienced strange happenings while in the house? Or is it just you?

Have you seen other strange things, besides the ghost? (Outside your home, I mean.)

You have to rule out all the other possible causes -- mental illness (don't mean to offend you, but there are thousands of people who unknowingly suffer from some sort of psychosis), sleep-disorders (sleep paralysis, night terrors), etc. -- before you look for paranormal answers.

Edit: Nevermind, saw that the part about your friend. What did he witness?

Edit 2: I misread the beginning of your story. Lack of sleep does not work well for me. I would look into this as a haunting if I were you, although I wouldn't necessarily say that this is paranormal in nature. The place itself could give off a negative vibe, and the child could have a few issues to work out. Either way, keep us updated on whatever happens.

the things that happened involving the 2 year old girl in the apartment i lived in were witnessed by about 5 different people... they were all freaked out by the place...

and here at the house im in now, my mom has said things from time to time about weird things going on here, and the family that lived here before us had an accident, but my mom is really against that type of thing, so she always tries to explain it away with logic.. my dad has said that sometimes he gets the worst feelings when he's up at night around here, like theres something watching him, or seeing things move, and both of them have mentioned noises late at night waking them up.

outside the house, well whenever im outside at night, i usually get odd feelings but that's pretty typical im sure, we live out in the country in the middle of the woods so it's naturally spooky at times... there are 2 very old graveyards near my house, one you can see clearly, the other is about 200 feet away in a clearing in the woods. they are family cemetarys, of the family that lived here before us.. they date back to the late 1700's if i remember correctly till about a year ago being most recent... i've never seen much outside the house, other than what i hope are just shadows or moonlight :/ but there are voices from time to time (not just in my head, others have mentioned them too) and screems coming from the woods... and it's getting worse lately, i've been outside a lot at night working on my car in the drive way, and 9 times out of 10 i will feel something i cant explain, or hear someone speaking to me, and a lot of times will feel someone touch me.

Basically the only things that you can do is locate and contact the nearest paranormal society. Once you have done that, make sure that they are an actual and honest organization. Sadly, 85% of them out there have no idea what they are doing. But if you find one that you are comfortable with, have them come in and do an investigation. From there they can recommend what to do. If you are wanting to do something on your own, there is always the same methods of trying to capture EVP's (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) on a digital recorder. At least through that you may be able to learn something. Ask "it" some questions, find out why it's there and so forth. Also, whenever you get these intense feelings, try and have a camera prepared. Even though photographs are not a way of making others believe, it could help you understand more of what is going on. Just don't tamper with anything that could broaden and enhance the things you are encountering such as the infamed Quija Board and other negative means.

Good luck in your findings. Maybe if you do have things investigated and then come across something, you can then try to rid what is going on with you and ease your mind.

i'm still hoping that my mind is just playing tricks on me... im trying not to think about what could really be going on.. but i guess i wouldnt want to tamper with any of it... if anything paranormal is going on, i guess it has just as much right to be here if not more than i do.. well as long as it cant hurt anyone... thanks for the input everyone, eases my mind a bit... just knowing that people deal with this kind of stuff and arent as paranoid as i am at this moment.. lol

as for the EVP's i'm not really sure at this point i would have the balls to try to speak to them, because i have had a bad experience with that in the past... but i have some recording software on my computer used for music recording... if i were just to casually leave that on all night and day, could that catch anything, like when i get that paranoid feeling that im being watched?

I would say to scrdshtlss that, first of all you should gather all your strength and face the "entity". I believe that this experience of yours is at least highly "abnormal" if not Paranormal. If all you say is really true and we must assume so or all talk about it is meaningless, then you could try to reason with the thing. You say you challeged it to do something right NOW and it complied by strumming your guitar. To me this means that it can hear you and respond to you. Try reasoning with it.
By all means set out recording equipment (you could include a voice activated tape recorder as tape would otherwise soon run out) but I suggest you also leave out a note or drawing block with a felt-tipped pen (as this type of pen requires little pressure when writing) without its cap on. As soon as things start to happen, switch on your recorders and challenge the entity to state what it wants or why it is there, by writing something on the note-block! Always leave the block open and available even when you are not in the house. I am sure you are not crazy. If you were then so must be your Mother and Father AND your dog. You describe the situation clearly, too, and ask yourself whether you are crazy which is something crazy people don't usually do. Remember that you are not alone in Spirit. Thousands of people have these experiences to a greater or lesser degree and only the strong in mind and character come through them unscathed. Even on the understanding that all this is real and is as you describe it, this does NOT mean that the entity MUST win or that you cannot apply a scientific attitude towards it. Treat it as a being that may desperately need help and try to find out how you can help it. Try telling it to manifest itself ONLY at a certain hour and that you wish to help it. If it heeds your request (or better still, "order") and appears at the time you stipulate then you will know that you have dialogue. The poor thing may be desperate to communicate with someone and the only way it can draw your attention is to go to these frightening lengths and which surely must cost it a tremendous amount of pyschic energy. This is all I can suggest for the time being. Please keep us all informed about further developments. They share this cosmos with us and I often think that they may be stuck in some dimension we cannot yet understand and need help to move on.

just to study reactions psychologically, al well and good. Why NOT after all? Just let us all know later and tell us what your findings are, otherwise all this would be a waste of everybody's time.

Have you considered contacting anyone affiliated with a church? Priests, Pastors, etc. are more informed about things like this than you might think. Just a thought.

the japanese believe that salt in the corners of rooms keeps ghosts away. give that a try...

well, i talked about it with my mom this morning, and she said she's had similar experiences when she's up at night in the kitchen, she really hates stuff like this and wont admit it, but what she did say was that when she's in the kitchen or walking to the living from from the kitchen, she feels something odd... like she's being followed.. and that sometimes something 'makes' her move not physically, but like she knows she's in somethings way and moves off to the side... now me last night i stopped walking where i was and i felt as if something pulled me out of the way... so maybe it's just the spirit? of the old lady that died here pacing the floors... just a thought

I don't know if this will help... and although I do not believe in ghosts, it's something I'd try if given the opportunity.

Have a spray bottle (with water) handy.. and when you *feel* it, start spraying... if an entity can indeed affect living matter then it should affect the air space in which it resides. And if a spirit is some form of "energy" it is possible that air mist could either make it visible, or help dissapate the energy.

Just a suggestion from a sceptic.

heh, im pretty skeptic about it myself, to me (usually) if something cant be explained by logic, reason, or science then it isnt real.... it's just kinda creepy at this point.... that i've never noticed it until i had the weird stuff happen at my apartment, then i started to notice something at my house that couldnt be explained... but could still be my mind playing tricks on me ... in my opinion the power of the mind can alter 'reality' because everything we see, feel, hear, smell, so on is controlled by electrical signals inturpreted by our brains .. so if i've convinced myself that something is there, then it will be.... if that makes sense to anyone... eases my mind a bit to just think like that ... so?

I'd talk to the other people in the house, and see if they've experienced this to the extent you have. If they have, it's time to contact someone who's better equipped to investigate things of this matter. However, if they haven't I'd look for a more earthly explanation.

The child's strange actions, combined with an eerie feeling the house may give off could be highly suggestive. Is there any possibility that you may be suffering from some form of night terrors? Sleep walking? In either of these cases, your subconscious mind might create illusions that seem very real.

the things involving the child were witnessed by a lot of people...

i didnt make it too clear i dont think, but these are two seperate places, the child was at my old apartment, the current things are involving my parents house.... but i've followed the instruction of a few people that have PMed me... and now have 2 motion activated digital video camera's set up in my house, and also have a motion activated light that triggers a camera, and my computer running audio recording software 24/7 with the activation sound sensitivity set really low

hope im in the right ballpark with all this... but if not.. it's been pretty fun setting it all up!

this is a clip of my motion activated camera when i was testing it out, i moved a paper towel and it caught the motion in a dark room, hopefully this will be good enough.. im thinking about testing smoke next and see if it will catch it as well.

Usually I would recommend "cleansing" the house but in the situation like this, I don't know if that would help.

I have "exercised" many ghosts from homes by burning large amounts of sage. You can buy a smudge stick at most metaphysical, indian or herbal shops. A smudge stick is a bundle of dried sage leaves held together into a thick cigar shape with cord. I recommend unplugging all your smoke detectors because they WILL go off. Burn the stick with a bowl beneath it. Also make sure to open every closet and cabinet. Go from room to room and blow on the smudge stick to force it to burn and produce a lot of smoke. Blow the smoke into every corner, crevice, cabinet and closet. Get under beds and into shelving. When you are done with each room, open every window and door and keep them open until the smoke is ALMOST gone. Then close them and put salt in the windows and door frame. Just a thin line.

I learned this from an old native american woman on a reservation in Oklahoma. The native americans believed that sage would remove evil spirits from people and places.

In a situation like this it doesn't really sound like evil spirits. It sounds more like left over residents that don't want to give up their house held for generations to someone who is not family.

If you do smudge the house, make sure to inform your parents you are going to do it because I've been told it smells like pot to people who have never smelled pot before or have not smelled it in a long time.

I do hope you are able to get proof on video. I watched the two videos you put up and the second one is a woman with a bundle of something in her arms.

If you do the EVP I also suggest having every family member present. This may help you to 1. Have more confidence. 2. Prove to your mother it is real if something does go wacky and 3. Get evidence to prove to your mother it is real because she was present and is aware of who was speaking in the room.

Oh.. and you might try telling the spirits that you know it is their home and has been for a long time. And though it is now your home, you will always remember the family that was there before and you are not there to take it from them. But point out that you must live together and the physical contact is uncomfortable. Ask them nicely to please not touch you again. Try to say all this with no fear. Try to put off the emotion of love and understanding. See if that helps.

most likely, this camera up in the 'mud room' as we call it, the room we come in from outside, washer and drier on one side, closets on the other for coats and boots.. im hoping that this room will show something.. as it is the room that gives me the chills sometimes, whenever i come in at night throught this room, i feel watched, like im being glared at, like im disturbing someone/thing... checked the motion sensors a minute ago, had over 178 recordings of movement, but looking at them they nearly all seem to be lights flickering on and off from other rooms in the house, under the door and what not, so it's aparently very light sensitive... nothing odd yet, not even sounds.. maybe it is all in my head

Are the lights flickering on and off unusual or normal?

Rayce, i'm not sure at this point i would feel comfortable telling my parents that i think there is really something paranormal going on here, they are both very science headed if you know what i mean, although they both believe there are things that happen here they cant explain, but since they cant explain it, they dont dwell on it like i do.. so im just trying to discuss it with them in a casual way, like 'have you ever heard odd sounds late at night, or felt like someone was watching you' i havent come out and said 'mom.. dad.. something is seriously wrong here'

incase anyone was wondering im 20, and not easily scared by things like this, but it's been getting worse since i've been working different hours and awake at night, well i guess it's not worse im just awake and able to notice things..

im gonna try and think about the house without trying to sound odd, and im in no way saying that i think any of this has anything to do with things that are happening: we were adding a room onto the house, and we tore down a wall or two... at this time a living member of the family would come to our house from time to time, talk to my parents and my brother and I, and walk around the property that used to belong to his family... when he saw that we tore down the wall of his mother's bedroom (now my room) he seemed very upset by this, since the house had been unchanged for over 40 years, the house before this one burned down, he was mostly upset because the room we remodeled was the room his mother had passed away in, he told us that his family had gathered in the room as she let out her last breath and they said a prayer, and she was buried in the cemetary beside our house a few days later... all he said to us was that he wished we would keep the house the same style they had always had it as it was his mothers dream house, she had designed herself, and we did.. we even put in a bay window because he said she had wanted one with a bench to sit in... long story short, he passed away last year, and was the last member of their family in this area....

i will tell this, i have been skeptic about it for a while.. about 5 or 6 years ago me and my brother were staying up late talking, at the time we shared a room. my brother is 2 years older than me, so we were probably 14 and 16 at the time.. we had bunk beds also, sorry im rambling trying to remember everything without embelishing parts that arent memorable... anywho i dont remember if we had a TV on, or if it was a bed lamp, but the room was dimly lit..
i remember this part very clearly, we were talking about ryans first car he was planning to get... when suddenly he stopped talking and i looked over at the door, and there was someone walking thru it, it walked around my dresser and into our bathroom (this was before the house had been changed) we were both silent staring at it in disbelief and fear... but something amazing happened... my brother whispered 'mom' as he was hoping it might have been my mom and light tricking us into thinking it was a ghost... he said it again, and it stopped and turned to us... and it wasnt our mom... but i must stress this i think i know who it was, the lady that died here, she died long before my time, but my parents refer to her as 'ms annie' ... when she turned to us, he face was radiant, and she smiled... and i must tell you i felt totally calm all over my body, i was so comfortable... all the fear i had was taken away and she then turned and went down the hall to the bathroom.. no lights or anything came on, we waited for what felt like an eternity to see if a light would come on, or if she would come back thru the room.. then we turned on the over head light and went around the corner... there was nothing but dark, we turned on the bathroom light.. nothing... we then ran to our parents room and woke them up, asking my mom if she had been to the bathroom just then, she said she hadnt... we were then convinced that it was ms. annie and told our parents all about it and my mom told us that ms annie was the sweetest person she had ever known.. this was one of the most memorable experiences of my life... and i still cant totally explain it.. but it's something i can think of when im afriad and it will comfort me.. just the radiant smile we saw that night... it was amazing.

the lights were normal, just me or family turning lights on and off... but funny you should mention that, when i entered our mud room a few minutes ago, to make sure the camera was working, and there was enough light here and there to catch any movement.. i was exiting the room and had just shut the door when i heard the motion alarm ding, i quickly came in here to view the clip on my computer, and it kept going off, over and over and over, yet nothing showed up on the clips .. it's gone off 38 times in the last 10 minutes.. im not sure if that is anything, but it certainly gave me some adrenaline.

Well, i cant sleep... motion alarm woke me up a minute ago... had a damn shadow on camera??? what the hell does that mean?!? it ofcourse only caught the tail end of it, as it only starts when the motion is caught... but it looks like a regular shadow to me... lol... not sure why i wanted to post this... maybe just to get some reassurance that it's nothing. :/

I just thought of something. Are your cameras triggered by temperature changes as well? If so, this could be causing the camera to go off. 1. Temperature is being changed in the house by heating or cooling or 2. The temperature is dropping the presence of the entity causing the camera to go off.

no, the camera's arent temp sensitive... would be nice if they were tho...havent really felt, seen, or heard anything tonight.. everything seems quiet.. no thuds in the night which i guess is a good thing. but it's only been 2 days :/
