[attachmentid=13354]Well everybody says the faces demonic and otherwise seen in the World Trade Center disaster are fake and they joke about viewing all kinds of things in smoke clouds and fire.

Some people say its all in our heads, and some say they don't see anything at all.

Well after collecting and sorting images that I have aquired on this subject I couldnt verify any of them to be real, due to the fact that I did not take them myself, and know the "purity" of the source image.

So I thought of a way to produce the same type unkown and unexplained phenomena. It could just be a strange effect that reflects another dimension or it could just be just a freak thing.

A 100mw Diode Pumped 532nm Laser is set up to create a tunnel type light effect using a rotating mirror mounted on a fan which spins around 3600 rpm.
When this happens the monochromatic green laser light creates a light tunnel.

When dry ice smoke or basically any type smoke is introduced into the light tunnel the suction from the fan causes a very slight smoke vortex. you would think the smoke would just be sucked into the fan, but a strange thing happens and the smoke appears like its moving all around the light tunnel, spiining everywhere
and you can walk inside of of the light tunnel - kinda cool effect.

well when you set up a digital camera on manual mode - at least a 4 mp camera on its highest rez, with flash off and mounted on a tripod, you can capture what appears to be faces that appear in the smoke.

the strange thing is you can't see them with the naked eye, due to the the way our eyes translate motion and light. but the digital camera can catch them.

when viewing the images in adobe photoshop, change the color values and gamma values, and positive values around and these things magically appear in the images. only change the number values.

when software changes the values in a monochromatic image that has a headroom of millions of colors, it gives you the power to basically have x-ray vision type of effect. seeing things that might not be visible with the naked eye.

untill the late 1990's this technology was not yet here, so thats why we are seeing this effect.

Light tunnel pic[attachmentid=13355]

Looks as good as anything out of HOLLYWOOD. Rather reminds my of a box that RADIO SHACK sells. Mirror and lights, but when you look straight at it looks like your falling through infinity! Cool effect.

That's certainly one way of producing such an effect, but as for the faces in smoke phenomena, all you really need to do is film a good half-hour of smoke, and I guarantee you will find more than one face in the frames. It's just random imaging that forms them.

Sounds too technical for me...

I don't know, it may be real..it may not...They all look so pretty though.
