Well, its a really simple effect, you take a 532nm laser lets say about 100mw and you fire it on to a simple fan, spinning about 3600 rpm, but mounted in the center of the fan is a little mirror circle hot melt glued on the fan. so as the fan spins up, its hauling ass, and since the greenie beam is sooooo bright at 100mw, it makes a light funnel.

And when you take dry ice or smoke, it makes this tripped out light tunnel really look 3D - you can walk inside of it and it is the weirdest feeling being inside of a tunnel made of swirling lightning - that the effect the smoke gives when the vortex of the fan pulls the smoke towards the center of the funnel.

any laserpointer would prob do the same thing, just not as bright, turn off all lights and it looks extremely cool. try it.

Very interest, nice idea original.gif

But, i have a question: How did the laser beam get bigger and bigger like that infront the fan?? did you place some smoke or something like that or only the fan will make like that ??

Maybe this seems a stupid question hmm.gif but i want to understand it well yes.gif

Thank u wink2.gif

Well when you glue the little mirror on the center of the fan, glue it with hot melt glue, and glue it so that it is not flat, one end of the mirror must be raised about 4-5mm so that when the fan spins, it sorta wobbles, this makes the beam fan out, the more you put the mirror at a angle, the bigger dia fan you will get. then blow smoke into it, it looks way crazy.
