This Asteroid 2004MN4 is heading in our direction.

If it hits the earth, does anyone knows which probable

part of the earth will it hit ? Can anyone assist in helping

what preparations we can do while its still far away ?

Lets just assume the worst...... better be prepared than

not at all. What kind of devastation will it cause ?

If you look up on the "Torino Impact Hazrd" the rating is only a "1" which means:

QUOTE
A routine discovery in which a pass near the Earth is predicted that poses no unusual level of danger. Current calculations show the chance of collision is extremely unlikely with no cause for public attention or public concern. New telescopic observations very likely will lead to re-assignment to Level 0.

I wouldn't start worrying about this one just yet thumbsup.gif

Don't we have russian missles armed with American warheads for this sort of problem?

I heard about this a few yrs back as well..Im not sure there would be anything we could do..would be awesome if a some kind of shield would cover around our earth, But if Im not mistaken missles would only break it up in smaller pieces which would do the same damage? crying.gif
Im not for sure we'd even be aware because it would cause world panic..says the gov't..

Don't worry ! UFO's protect themselves too.
We are like fish that swim in the waters of rocks but why nothing hits us bigger till now. Are we protected ? Just my thinking.

a farly large metior hit the earth in the early 20th century, up in Syberia. From what i have read there is normaly a good sized metior that acualy strikes the earth every 100 years, And a vary vary large one that strikes around every 62 million years or so. Not sure about the numbers but u know. But the last BIG, BIG one was 65 million years ago.
