Im not sure any of you remember me, to be hoenst I dont remember too many people here from probably my one and only famous topic that seemed to never end with pages of this topic...

The topic is the sightings on the rooftops.

To refresh or inform your minds I'll give a slight background, that took many replies to try and assure you of my sanity because of how farfetched this story sounds.

In February of 2004 it all began one restless night when I awoke at three a.m. I remmber this quite clear in my head for the thought rarely leaves my mind.

My <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=bed%20stands" onmouseover="window.status='bed stands'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">bed stands</a> beside my rather large window, and out the wind is a house two floors shorter than mine. At night the shadow of my house overcasts itself upon the smaller roof beside my house.

Now to tell you what I was feeling only minutes before i gazed out the window. The feeling of course you get of being watched which I rarely get and I have no history of paranoia to mention. And it felt like whatever was watching me, meant to harm me.

Of course I thought it was all in my head, because when you sleep your mind does many things and can play several tricks on you, even after minutes when you wake up from nightmares to you still sweat and shakem and worry...Until you see it wasnt real. But this didnt leave me as soon as something like that would.

After sorting my thoughts out I had the urge to look out my window...Bad choice and this is where all of you will think I'm nuts or just looking for attention and before I continue I assure you as I did almost a year ago since I posted a topic about this that I really don't give a sh** (to be blunt) what you think, all comments positive or negative I will take into consideration but any smack talking will be ignored because I seek assisstence.

So as I was saying when I took a look out my window, without beating around the bush this is what I saw flat out. It was dark, but some nearby streetlights could distinguish shadows and figures from dark rooftops. Which is exactly what I saw. A tall black figure, atleast almost seven feet tall, a ver lengthy body with arms and legs unproportioned to its body. It seemed to be swaying back in forth, and the past year everytime I thought about this I started to to remember new details.

I stared upon this thing whatever it was in shock, not wanting to take my eyes of it, and after a few moments I did. I shook my head and looked back again and once more it was still there...

The second gaze was only seconds because the more I focused on it, the more I felt a certain connection that it felt anger...I felt anger at the time but it was not of my own, so I assumed its emotions echoed into my mind or something of that nature.

So now I was lying in bed restless not wanting to look again out that window...I still felt its presence though and laugh it up but I have always thought myself strange because almost 75% of the time I can read people really well, and their emotions seem to transfer to me, like I can feel what they fell almost...And if this is truly a suprnatural being I wouldn't doubt the power of me being able to occassionally feel peoples emotions that this creatures emotion would be amplafied.

Anyway the days went on and the weeks went on, and rarely in the day would anythings strange happen, but at night, almost every night, I knew something was on my roof, or near me or something like that. I could hear thumps after that day on my roof, and footsteps from the top floor of my house and sometimes on even my lower floors. Wherever I went in my house the steps didnt fade, but seemed to follow me like whatever it was, was looking down upon me.

A few weeks later I was posting some replies to my old thread concerning this topic, when it was night and absolutely no light were on in my house, only the light of my <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=computer%20screen" onmouseover="window.status='computer screen'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">computer screen</a>. And as I sat in my chair alone, I felt something cool around the back of my neck, like someone or something was looking down upon me. So I hesistated to turn but eventually I did, and nothing was there but it sounded like someone was running away from the room I was in. So I followed the sounds into the corner of my living room, and to caught up to turn on any lights I stopped in the doorway of probably the biggest size room in my house, looking into a dark corner with no light shining in upon it. But I almost knew something was there, and whether my eyes were my eyes were playing tricks on me or not, I could see what I thought were large eyes, darker then the darkness of the room. I heard something pressing up against the corner of the walls, so I turned over for a split second to flick on the light, but nothing was there when I turned back to look.

From then on it got wierder...I could hear screeching sounds at night, very high pitched, out in the forest behind my backyard. I actually had the balls to go out one night, but what I thought I was probably following after some signs of what seemed to be someone ahead of my strolling along, it soon felt like I was being followed and what I thought would be something ahead of me, was now behind me, stalking me, so I made a run for my fence and hopped it, and literally raced insid too scared out of my wits...

Thats pretty much the jist of the background of my little adventure but I come back to this place now for help, or maybe new answers.

Last month I told my friend this story and he thought I was full of sh**. Well I can see why. So I brought him to the forest in the day time, and I don't know if he was pulling my leg, but he said he was freaked out, and this is a grown man freaked out by a forest. He explained after we got out of the forest that someone was watching me not him...That freaked me out, but what are friends for?

Then I took him up to my roof, and I'll be damned, there was a burn mark on the center peak of my roof. A burn mark, like black chared looking. He and I were both clueless but it sparked my interest again on what I had began to ignore.

So I began doing research on the internet and such, looking up explanations and so forth the day after I went out with my buddy but didn't have much luck. Almost everynight when I got home from work I continued my search for answers but I think my interest sparked the creatures interest in me also.

Once more I began to hear thumps on my roof, the same footstep sounds that seemed to follow me wherever I went, and when I was still they were silent. And now in the past week my clocks have all frozen atleast seven times but this will really creep you out...They all stop at 8:13 P.M every clock.

I continuously 'Misplace' my keys for my car, and sadly my dog passed away two weeks ago. I of course burried him out back but when I came home from work on day I went out back to have a smoke, and I looked at the grave of my dog, and it looked as though it had been disturbed and reburried.

Now these wierd things, keep piling up, Including on my body. Recently I have gained three or four <a style='text-decoration: none; border-bottom: 3px double;' href="http://www.serverlogic3.com/lm/rtl3.asp?si=22&k=dark%20spots" onmouseover="window.status='dark spots'; return true;" onmouseout="window.status=''; return true;">dark spots</a> near the end of my spine, just around the waistline and up a few inches. They go up with my spine, and are dark brownish green. They're not bruises, they do not hurt, and they have not faded at all, and I also seem to be gaining mysterious cuts, that I never actually see bleed, only scabbed up the firt time I see them. usually on my upper arm, and chest.

Someone give me some reassuring info or something cause I think whatever was here a year ago is back for a reunion.

Sadly enough I never considered that. Hmph. Maybe a psychiatrist while I;m at it lol.

Ya, well I assume that might be an idea, but the doctors around where I live do nothing but prescribe penicillin, they would do it even if you just lost a limb, or your eyes melted out of your skull .

But yes I suppose that might help, but we'll see when I do come back, I'll probably just book an appointment for tomorrow.

*BUMP* Sorry, I need more answers, or help, whatever you want to call it. Even ideas to chase this whatever thing away, back from where it came.

And Tia, this morning I went to the doctor (family doctor) to make an appointment but they had an opening this afternoon. And well when I showed him the spots he was clueless as to what it might be. And now I didn't tell him what happened. He didn't prescribe anything since I wasn't in pain, he said they'd either go away or stay the same and no more.

I hope.

if this actually does happen this often, the first thing that would come to my mind is to actually try and get some pictures or set up surveillance of some sort, i dunno that seems logical to me

If possible i don't want to help other people now but i just saw you very troubled.
I don't know if you are going to believe this.
You are not abducted by alien. It is some kind of skinny strange bigfoot.
I also encountered this kind of thing. have you done something before that makes this strange creature hates you ? But actually this thing won't kill you but it will annoy you very much. Do you know this thing smoke big cigars ?
That's why there is a charred burned marks on your roof. Your stuff gone missings,lights flicker off on etc. that is all a big signs of this strange creatures.
But sometimes if they like you specially if you're a woman, that thing will court you like giving you something. My first advice to you at the moment is not to worry about it. Try talking to this thing and apologize and don't swear to it. They also eat our foods so why not offer a food so you can get a truce. Just leave the food on the roof. That's all i can say at the moment cuz i don't wanna make it longer and complicated as people here will find it irratating to hear.

I've been trying to get some digital cam pictures, but my luck has run thin this time. Half the time if I go to take a picture my camera shuts off, and the only time I had a camera with me, when I saw the creature by the time I went to take the picture, it was gone.

And as for 'Scippy's' take on this whole thing. I'm just going to ignore everything, because I believe that kid is tweaking out on some sort of drug.

The only thing he mentioned that I would take into consideration would be to talk to this thing. But put youself in my shoes, doesn't seem so easy now does it? Plus the fact that I have tried to get hold of it, by going out to the forest, searching around the area, going out to the roof at night, but whenever I'm there it seems, its somewhere else.

And all this talk about shadow people, or creatures. I took that into consideration but realized after seeing some renderings, and hearing stories that it can't be it. Shadow creatures are practically shadows, and you would thing if this thing was a shadow it wouldnt had as much as a real 3D look to it,, like it was sharp around the edges like an actually figure, not blurry like a shadow...

Anyway my ordeal continues...Any information on ancient experiences like this or something would be awesome, but then again any info would be. Thanks again.

Well beside the humor, the fact still remains, some useful help would, well be, helpful.

And I'm actually getting more worried for my safety because as I came home from work tonight and slammed my car door shut, around the side of my house, i heard noises in the bushes, and somewhat of a high pitched suck back sort of choking sound, so I grabbd my flashlight off my utility belt, and opened the gate at the side of the house and scanned around, as the noises occured again all the way down past the siding of my house into my backayrd, and other my eyes deceived me, or I saw something hoop into the ledge of my wooden fence, without using its hands, and hope down the other side, where I could no longer see it. As I looked along the side of my fences, there were a few burn marks similar to the ones on my roof, and even some on the patio stones on back that make a trail around the side of my house.

So obviously I chased it even though it was far over the fence by now, but I too hopped the fence and scanned my light around the woods, and nothing was there, it was silent, I didn't hear any animals either, and usually you do...

Anyway I went to go back to the apparent burn marks and as I placed my hand on it, and dragged my hand across the trail of burnt areas, it was extremely hot in some places still, and very cool in others, though I didnt not smell burning wood, nor did whatever seemed to burn the fence eat away at the wood at all, its just a layer of charred marks on the wood.

Kinda lost here people...

And also, one trademark of this creature was peeling off skin of human.

Or if you don't want that way, burn incence, they hate it, or put vinegar in a spray bottle and spray it on the roof and windows and outside.
What happen probably is, you disturb this thing while he was relaxing.
You saw him and they don't like being watched.

Anyway i started my day shifts today, and early in the morning, around 7 I had just gotten suited up and hit the road with my cruiser, and after I got my coffee, I pulled out of the parking lot and received a call, so I turn on the cherrys and away I went. But after driving for about two minutes my car breaks down...These are up to date cruiser and the odd thing was it was a cool day, nothing over-heated, nothing broke down it just stopped, and when I radioed in to the dispatcher i told her what happened and when the call was taken care of I decided to take a second shoot at the car and it 'magically' worked again.

I thought it was odd, not sure if its connected though but its safe to consider it I suppose...

that is strange, but it might possibly just a coincidence. if it happens again, then it is something to consider.

Not to sure if you are serious but i'll answer you anyway.
They make their own cigars or steal someone's cigars.
They are not interested telling their stories, all they want is respect from human.

Alright first of all this 'Bigfoot' nonsense with cigar's and sh** had to be put to a stop, this topic is not about bigfoot so if you want to start a B.S topic about him go on ahead, but not here.

Second of all on the subject...As I was at work the other day I was in the basment of the division and I was walking through the K-9 room with the dogs in training or being waited on all went nuts, I mean they flipped out and barked and got all upset, and leaped at me through their cages.

I thought that was oddly strange considering I take most of the dogs out for a run, or do whatever with them and they dont have any problems with me.

And thirdly I was listening to music last night on my computer and I of course had the volume up really loud but when the music got quiet i could hear a wierd noises in the background like waves, clicks here and there and every now and then it sounded like a very high pitch voice was speaking jibirish...even when the music stopped I turned up the speakers and it contiuned till I restarted my computer and then it stopped...

When I see things it's always something really bad like car crash, etc but never death (yet) and always happens to my friends...

What'd I'd recommend is what so many others on the forums did to me. ScarlettPony suggested that each day I try to just sit back and think about it. Yah I know some of them may freak you out and you may not want to think about it but trust me it works. Raven also said that meditation works... And it sure helped me... Just try to relax. In psychologt I read that the more your think about soemthing the less tension it is for your brain to think about it... But don't get obsessive cuz that would probably just make it worse. I'm not tryign to sound pessimistic or anything, but just relax and set aside some time to just embrace the truth and harness it and yah okay your clairvoyant/precognitic now how do I help people with it???

First of all, I've got to say this is the strangest thing I've ever heard, short of some of the things in the book Strangely Enough -- but, this could surely fit in with them.

I've never heard of anything like this before, other than some roof-walking thing I read awhile back, which could have been posted by you [Yes I do remember you.]

Anyways, whatever is bothering you, doesn't sound evil, just menacing. The first thing I would reccomend against is ever thinking about resorting to things such as a priest coming in and blessing your house, or using holy symbols. Things like this usually DON'T work [I've heard of some ghost/spirits picking up crosses and rosary beads and destroying them] and make you panic and over react. The same goes for any sort of religious thing, for now atleast. For the time being, you should take a scientific approach to the solution.

Now, onto actually doing something that WILL work. Since I've never really hard of anything like this, I don't know of anything in particular. There are general things you could do.
The first is to not bother whatever it is but keep a keen interest and eye on it.
The second is to keep a watch for it, but not let it rule your thoughts.
These are the only things I can suggest for generally keeping it at bay, fear wise, atleast.

I do believe these things are happening to you, so I will continue. I'm not sure how to keep it at bay, but there are many things you can do when you do see it, feel it watching you, and are livid with fear. When you do feel these feelings, try and ignore them. Ignoring fear didn't kill the cat. Another thing you could try is after ignoring the fear of it, confront it. If it is hiding in the shadows of your apartment, never rest until you are at arms length from it, face to face, within reach of it's throat. Facing your fear is the best thing you can do, weather this is all in your head, or a real being.

Last but not least, there is a good phrase you could scream outloud, or atleast remember it.
"I must not fear. Fear is the mindkiller. Fear is the little death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see it's path. Where fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain. I will face my fear."

I'm sorry I couldn't help more, but this is so uncanny I'm not exactly sure who would be called an "Expert" on this sort of stuff, unless you consider scipherel to be telling the truth. What I will say, though, is that I devote myself to help you in every way I can until this is over.

I don't often post here anymore (the community to me, has kinda died since some of the better members began to leave ), but I have often wondered about what happen to you Kortef. I do indeed remember that old post of yours and posted fairly frequently in it... I dare say you remember the 'hammering' I gave you in the past whilst trying to sort out facts.

As I recall, you did capture a picture of it at one stage... but Angelfire seems to be holding back on us once again. Checked your old thread and they no longer work. Maybe you could repost those up here, as I'd like to take another look at them (If you have them). If not, maybe see if you can grab a snap of those marks on your back.

Once again, I'm intrigued... I'll be watching the topic to see how things turn out and post from time to time.

Ya, thanks, I've had that comment once before already...

And plus my statement was that what creatures choose to wander the ground in plain sight? Why not stay up where nobody can see you...unless you want to be seen I suppose.

Anyway I came to check back, and give an update..

The update is nothing much has happened. I still have to deal with the constant and consistant knocks on the roof, and on several occassions during times when I heard them and they seemed to drag on for unusual periods of time I would run outside, rip the ladder out, climb up on to my sunroof, then on to the main roof and by the time I was there, there was no sign...

Odd thing though was my neighbour across the street said the past few days more and more he has been seeing something or someone on my roof, tall lengthy creature looking thing he described it, he said it seemed to hop from roof to roof and seemed very stealthy...

So on that note I asked him if he saw anything up there to call me if I was home and let me know because I've been beginning to play little tricks with this thing...I ignore it when its the loudest but when it seems as though whatever it may be is trying to sneak around, thats when I run outside and examine the area..

Anyway I've gone from fear from more than a year ago I think to wanting to cooperate with it, and now since both things arn't seeming to work, I decided I'd toy with it as it is with me...Or atleast I think I can unless it begins to counter-act my tricks...I dunno anyway tell me what you think.

I had read your original posts awhile back and was intrigued. Whatever this thing is, it obviously is curious about you, but doesn't want to hurt you or it probably would have by now.

Perhaps the burn marks are a way of trying to communicate with you. You should try to do something similar and see if it replies (be careful, I don't want your house to burn down). That and why not get some buddies to come over and stay with you to see what they think? Maybe you could even have your neighbor take some pictures when he sees this thing jumping around during the day. Perhaps the camera would work for him.

BTW- sorry about your dog. Did your dog ever sense anything or act strangely when this creature was around?

Wow, this is some crazy sounding stuff. I thought the that the experiences in my life were weird but, now I don't know about that. If this is true...wow. Keep us updated and if you get a better glimpse of this creature, please explain it's appearance in better detail.

hello , sorry if my grammar is bad its 00:03 in the morning

I totally believe you on this because it is very similar to what has happened to me since i was about 5 up to the present day.

by any chance is this creature you saw pure dark (darker than the surroundings), 7 ft tall, mellon like head, no face expressions, no muscle psyche or clothing.
i have a evil feeling and a feeling that i am being watched and can pinpoint it where it is coming from.

When you feel its presence, go straight to a well lit area and where there is no dark areas; from what i have experienced they hate the light a lot in their weak stage but come out during the day when they are strong. if you ever see it in the house don't follow it or it may attack you. if you wake up in the night stay still but see if you can move but make small movements. i have woken up many times in the night with it standing near the bed or in the door frame staring at me and i could move, when it was there though it would disappear into nothing or go through the wall, door, or through the floorboards. When it would go through the door there would be loud footsteps or a shuffle downstairs. Basically wait for it to go and never confront it.

i feel that it is looking for your weaknesses which it could feed on, it was the same with my first. would wake me up at night and try to scare the hell out of me or have an intense evil feeling or making its self known but not show its self, i do see it's shadow on the wall but it hides, body harm is another and would have scratches which would come out of no where, would appear during the day but most of the time at night even though i don't have sharp nails or zips or anything like that on my bed. the scratches would be in bands of 1 but occasional bands of 3 and from 2 to 5 + cm long but very thin i get these on my arms back + chest and occasional on my face.

I have one of our dogs up at night, i did have a bed for it but it never stopped in it when them things were about (there are 3 at the moment). it would stare into a dark area in the room, shake and move its head as if it was watching something move and then just get out of the bed and dart onto the bed and try to hide under the covers but i sense it too most of the times when its there. i use to take the golden lab up and she is the same, would lift her head and stare into the darkness and growl loudly, but i made an extension to the light and pull it when she would do that. that is the reason why i don't have her up now is because it scared the hell out of me.

one last thing don't let it mess around with you head, it will make you do stuff you would regret, it will be a weak control like mine was to start off with (way back then) but from then it's got a lot stronger.

If it has found what its looking for (weaknesses) it will target on it as mine did and after a while like a few years when it knows fully another of them may show up like with me, the second one of mine is smaller about 6ft but its the deadlyiest one out of the lot. i have 3 which show up from time to time on different occasions but when they are planning something they take it in turns and its extremely hard to keep full awareness, they do get weaker after a while then another will take its place.

if you hear it on the roof again or see it on the roof phone one of the neighbours across the road if there are any and see if he confirms it and give him a camcorder or something to record it. calling the police would not help i think it will disappear when a car goes past i feel, they don't like to be noticed but they know when they are being watched.

Strange though the rest of the family haven't seen it except me and my older brother or been bothered by them, he doesn't have them anymore but he experienced them when he use to live here. my older brother has seen its shadow though go past the door and thats mainly it but that did sh** him up.

Well, I have never experienced anything quite like this. No aliens or what not. My experiences are with ghosts which I did share in the Ghosts Hauntings and The Paranormal Forum under the True Stories thread.

Heh, I do admit this story sounds a little out there, which is probably because I have never experienced anything that compares to it, but because of what I did experience, I'm not about to have my mind set on this guy being a liar. Even if I did think he was just making this stuff up, I don't think I'd call him a liar. After all this could be true, so I'll respect that.

wow, this stuff is very disturbing...
i am sure you are not making this up, but my guess they are doing stuff to you during the night and erasing your memory, then seeing teh results. maybe they are doing something to you and see how your body adapts. try moving, but if to expensive, put up survailence equipment. hopefully whatever is doing this isn't smart enough to shut off the equipment. if the surveilence doesn't work, put up surveilence CAMERAS ON YOUR NEIGHBORS HOUSE! that might work...
if THAT doesn't work, try getting somebody else involved, like a TV show and have them come to your house, or some investigation company like the FBI and hope they believe you.

I never said you called him or anyone else a liar. That was a general statement to other comments people posted about him just making this stuff up. Maybe I should have quoted one of those too, but I didn't want to point my finger at anyone or give the impression that I was expressing anger towards anyone because I wasn't. I was just stating my thoughts.

back, i aint sure if you guys are on about me but what i said is the truth and has happend to me; i posted it here because the experiences being similar and dont want anyone to go through what i have gone through. and help them if possible.

i have seen and had other stuff happen to me as well as family members but have to keep to this post, just look around for my posts. i have seen ghosts of people and my dog which died on my lap in the car and a cat when i lived in a house when i was 3. some weird red lights or eyes on my moms woredrove when i slept in tehir room during the night. but there total differient events
