i was being bored and looking for new windows longhorn info when i stumbled across this Internet Mark 2.

It appears that in the next 5 to ten years, the whole internet is going to change to this new kind of internet! Now i was wondering, can anyobdy verify this?

Hmm, now this is certainly interesting. With major companies now pushing the boundaries of the PC Components already, this Internet Mark 2 seems more like an up-to-date version of the Internet when the new generation of PC are revealed within the next 10 years.

Research and development is already being made in the field as manufacturers make significant increases in the technology which is being used at this moment in time.

Computers will take the path of one of neither ways, both will probably be utilized but one of either ways will be significantly used. Either Photo-Transited Computers or Biological. Each of them having significant advantages than the other but both superior than a standard PC

yeah this year we are certainly advancing with duel core processors, oled screens, and 3d handheld gaming machines(read: psp).

But the boundaries of the mordern day computer have already been pushed to their limits.

Come on, a Microprocessor is 1inch sqaure and it has at least 55 Million Transistors on it............didn't someone think this would happen eventually.

As for the handheld units, I won't need to read about the PSP, I own one. I don't think the units will make that much affect on the market and our PC's as of yet. The units lack the memory capacity for major day to day use.
MonkeyMan
but wouldn't the memory disks more then make up for that?
I don't really think the boundaries of modern day computers have really been pushed to the limits, as we still have atomic and subatomic computers to mess with tongue.gif

Yeah, that is what I meant. We have reached a limit with the current technology we have used and basically, atmoic and subatomic are still to come along, but that is a LONG TIME away.

It's not as long as you think; the age of nanotechnology is on our doorstep.

Besides, I read about two months ago that scientists have figured out how to use animal cells as transistors. They created a terrabyte hard drive in a cubic inch.

Terrabyte hard drives are already under production, and will be available to the general public in 2007.

All goes back to price theory - supply and demand. Once they produce enough of them the price will go down. The prices will be comprable to the 10GB hard drives when they first came out, then went down.
