I have recieved deja vu at a constant rate of almost all day everyday for over the last year and a half, and in the past I have had vivid dreams that come true years later, at first it was very scary to me, like I have lived this life before, but then I came up with an idea that deja vu is your subconcious working faster then your concious, and that possibly if we could uptap our unconcious/subconcious more that premanitions and being able to fortune tell, and possibly, in time, with human evolution, telepathy. I don't know the exact cause, but I feel like I can pretict the future at times, and I will be able to, enough that makes me doubt coincidence.

I'm starting to get Deja Vu more and more frequently, it normally happens when im in certain places, which doesnt really make any sense, but maybe that place triggers something in my subconscious. I found a good page a few months back with an explanation of Deja Vu, but its still a theory.
I cant find the link again, but what it basically said is Deja Vu occurs when one side of your brain reacts quicker than the other side. I will try and find the link again hmm.gif

I've had it TONS last year. Very scary o=

Havent I seen this thread here before..... huh.gif lol

Well, I've had Deja Vu span years. That's just scary. Like it starts as a dream or maybe more of a daydream, then weeks, months, or on the rare occasion, a few years later, it'll happen. I have super great long-term memory, which is why I remember dreaming it at some point. But it sure is weird when you KNOW you imagined it happening. Even better when it's a LONG time between. Normally I would just shrug it off as a coincidence, but they're way too detailed. Who knows, I could be the next prophet. If so, I say the world is going to end sooner than 2012 with the way things are going in this country.

Deja-vu is a strange thing. I've been getting deja-vu once or more a day for about a year now. I heard it was a laps between the transmition of signals in the brain ( a very breif one) that makes you think you've lived the moment before.

I think I had the same thing for aout 6 months when I was about 13.It was like I could slow down time and kindof see into the future.Like my mind wasnt attached to my body and could touch space and time.It happened over periods of about 3 hours every day then out of the blue just went away.
Its hard to describe and I know I sound insane but it was really freaky. It must of been my hormones or something?Or subliminally meditating myself somehow?
Swamp_Donkey
Well I think your deja vu would be worse in the teenage years because of how repetitive everything is.

Example:
1. Get Up.
2. Go to school.
3. Come home.
4. Sleep.
5. Repeat.
MK ULTRA
Your probably right, grin2.gif
It was weird though. huh.gif
Original
I agree with Swamp Donkey, I used to get Deja Vu all the time in classes during high school. It seemed to me that the repetition was drilled into my head, making me feel like I already did what I was doing. hmm.gif

yeah i need something new a change or sumthin, i too suffer form this occassionaly

AGREED! (EVIL HIGH SCHOOL!)
I’ll get déjā vu once in a while, and it usually relates to a minor event in my life.
nick_fury
i get it a lot, just the feeling of this having happened before but i have no idea when, could be like donkey said because of my repetitive school day, but i sometimes get it when i''m out at friends houses and stuff as well
Dodir_Svile
it's funny reading about people who think they can predict future because they have deja-vu. grin2.gif i mean, HAVE you ever predicted future? no? hmm.gif
Xoisk el Soņador
Miss Cleo tried to predict my future…I WAS BORED OK!
Jeenuh
Anyone do it often?

I do a lot, and I always get a really sick feeling right after. ;/
Bio-Mage
Just do a search before you post something like this. Maybe you can get your answer before you have to make your own topic.

Flaming...oups I did it again....!!!! tongue.gif

I discovered something unique in Deja Vu/Premanitions in working with Althzheimers patients. I had the experience of working with a patient who was at the very beginning stages. You document all waking occurences with them. What I noticed is that every couple of days he would go back about 10 years or so. The farthest back he reached was 1955 when he was in the service and he thought I was his daughters boyfriend. In the days that followed he would "wind" and "rewind" his life like a video tap. I never knew what year he would wake up in. His spells if you can call them that---were wide awake looking at me and cognizant of my presence but it was obvious he was seeing something entirely different. Like he was in a wide awake dream state. Similar to sleep walking but his eyes were wide open.

The connection I saw was the sliding through time but in his case from today, backwards on his video tape of life trapped in his memory of life. I varified each day with family members what he was experiencing so these "were not dreams" they were real re-enactments of his past events---as they confirmed---it often amazed them. In one circumstance there was even a family secret that embarrassed them. What I believe the connection to premanitions and Deja Vu is that for a split second we are launched forward only for a few seconds then jerked back dramatically.

In my experiences it was only 15 seconds or so when I experience Deja Vu. With premanitions what I find is an event that takes place that I knew would--like an "I told you so." sort of thing.

I used to have deja vu every week last year. Once while signing a b-day card I had it 3 times, though its hard to explain. It was like I had a deja vu of that deja vu, and yet another deja vu on top of that.

its a weird thing, my freind recently went to ghana with my old college, and he experianced it a lot when he was there, like every day very often, and he told me that he got it whilst he was drawing a sketch of one of his tattoo designs, and that he could see in his minds eye what the end result of the drawing would look like.
he put the pen and book down and stopped drawing, and the dejavu stopped, and he didnt get it again for the rest of the trip.. pretty weird.
the same freind has also experienced some pretty strange things in his life, like one out of body experiance, sensitivity to what i would call risidual energy, and strange feelings around holy places, like churches..

also when he was in ghana there was this apparent witch doctor or somthing like that, who practiced evil arts. the group for some reason met him, and he ignored all the rest of the group, but walked up to and shook his hand..

maybe he is the anti christ haha, very weird though

evil arts? like impressionism??

i get deja vu every so often. i dont read much into it. but it gives a nice trippy feeling

I have had de ja vu for lots of years too,
I always go to sleep thinking that I'm gunna wake up and say
"i had a dejavu last nyt, LOLOLOLOLOL"
Then I wake up and say
"i had a dejavu last nyt, LOLOLOLOLOL"
But then, I wake up again and say
"i had a dejavu last nyt, LOLOLOLOLOL"
And then I reckon that your dejavu stories are stupid,
And then I think I'm right and I wake up and say
"i had a dejavu last nyt, LOLOLOLOLOL"

Sorry mate, but Dejavu isn't possible unless it's a co-incidence.
Stop making up stupid storyies to make yourself feel special.
because the truth is, no-one believes them.
Why don't you go tell a psychiatrist, they'll probably be more interested.

Hmm it's sort of like... you may have signed birthday cards many times before in your life... tongue.gif

Dejavus are impossible.
Because everything in life is a variable.
In a dejavu, without the vision, you wouldn't be able to know that the dejavu would happen.
When you do have the vision, the variable that you know you're having a dejavu is changed.
Meaning that dejavus are impossible, unless coincidental.

If your vision does infact have the vision inside it, you have already missed the vision, and you're just doing anything to prove the dejavu right anyway.
maryjo1975
Well, I dont make much of it. But yeah, I have experienced this before. Sometimes I experience deja vu about deja vu. Like something happens and I think "this has happend before." And then I think "I remember thinking that thinking something like this has happend before!" LOL!!!

I dont think it means anything important but it is strange. I wonder sometimes, because I have had a few dreams that have come true, if it wasnt something that i dreamed.

One thing that is weird is me and my mom. Besides having experiences when we see things out of the corners of our eyes for days at a time - at the same time, we routinely have deja vu at the same time.

I think we are just far too much alike! wacko.gif LOL!!

We also speak for each other and finish each other's sentences. And we arent particularly close. We dont live together but we see each other a lot.
matthewgoad
I have had it many times myself. When I was younger when I would go places for the first time it felt as though I had seen them before in great detail. It's very strange. Sometimes now as I am doing something I feel that's it not the first time. And not with some that I do alot, but things you don't do often. Like when my grandfather died last year and I went to the funeral, the whole thing was like it was a replay and I have never been to that building or anything. Very weird..
Stixxman
When Deja Vu happens to me its like I'm watching someone talk and in my mind I'm going through what I think the dialogue will be. Sometimes I'll complete a persons sentence with exactly the words they would use. Its a weird thing, because I can't tell if it is a function of my familiarity with the person or simple intuition which i have always been good at. Or even a fluke. But it happens too regularily to be fluke.
Dr1273
I've noticed I have been getting deja vu alot lately. For about two weeks now.

Wow im lucky i just had deja vu like 10 minutes ago and it was wierd it was i went to a site and heard sumthing on the tv.

Once something heppens it feels like it's already happened, but I can't predictt he future or any of that sh**, and I really can't tell when it's gonna happen again .... this hasn't happened before .... hopefully it'll go away soemtime.

Some ppl believe that when you experience deja vu you'd done a certain thing before. However in actually it's merely an inbalance in the brain that makes it shut down for a second or two to clear out the inbalance.

I've had a strange feeling of deja vu for the past few years that can possibly be linked to my traumatic past and possible manic-depression(haven't been diagnosed yet). I live in a house built above the place where my two aunts died in the early 80's. The first night I spent here I started having feelings of deja vu.

LOast year I was on a lot of prescribed medication for epilepsy. I was taking up to 14 tablets a day. Being on this high a dosage you can have different side effects. I was on a drug which has a side effect of dejavu. I was gettig dejavu nearly every day while on them pills. I still get it at times because I am still on the same drug which has a side effect of dejavu. I get it very rarely now though but when I do I seem to enjoy it, it seems like I had been thinking the thing, been in the same place and doing the same activity.

Dejavu can also be caused by not sleeping enough/tiredness or daydreaming.

But I also agree that it can be one side of the brain working faster that the other causing you to have these feelings. The brain is a very complex 'Machine' which will never be completely figured.

Well that's what I believe anyway.
Accident
im not aure its deja vu but once i went to a friends house for first time
and my friends mom told me to get her something in the living room ( forgot wat) and i went to get it shes all like "u dont know where they are" but i knew EXACTLY where everything was for strange reason......
ALien^Intent
I have no idea what deja vu is but ive read that its just the signal from your eye's taking too long so its sent again and when it hits your brain a second time you get deja vu.....It sorta makes sense but thats science trying to explain deja vu and as we all know science thinks it has the answer for every thing.

Also ive been having deja alot lately like every day for the past week. hmm.gif
Malicious
ever since i met my current bf... we've both been getting deja vus.
i'm his first gf and he rarely went on dates before.....we went to the movies to see dark water(terrible movie) and he got a deja vu during this one scene. he had his arm around me and remembers having that same feeling before a year earlier....it was weird cuz he never went to the movies with any girl and he clearly remembers that part of the movie where the lady is in the basement of the building doing laundry.
i don't think deja vus are meant to be creepy.....maybe our destinies are written out...and by getting deja vus we know we're on the right path in our life.
StalingradK
Here's my theory on Deja Vu, I personally believe that there are other dimensions throughout the Universe, and that god basically plans our lives. I also believe that the dimensions are throughout different periods in time also. I think that he have part of our spirits in each Dimension, kinda like The One with Jet Li in it, but I thought of this before that, and each time we encounter something DISTINCT in one dimension , you feel it because you are part of the whole spirit.

Just think, you could be living through event right now that give other people experiences simular to yours. Some cases of Deja Vu would be through your particular spirit in your own dimension thought. I totally believe in Heaven/Hell/God go don't think Im going against him or what he says there is original.gif I also had Deja Vu when I went to Florida, when I stepped into a Hotel I felt like I'd been there before, and also in Several places throughout New York (Mainly Long Island).
Super_Mike
the deja vu I experience is so faint and insignificant images in dreams, that I pay no attention. Then several years later, I experience these dreams again in real life, and the faint memory of already experiencing something comes, it's a crazy feeling.
StalingradK
Yah that happened to me too, except with the same hotel.

I have had de ja vu a lot. Its mostly like 6 second videos where I do the exact same thing i did before. everything exactly right. Could be a brain glitch thing but

I have had the same de ja vu more than 5 times. The first time your like wait didnt I already do this? Then your like wait didnt I already do this 2 times. Then your like well how can that be did I imagine the first 2? Then It happens again and your like well Icoudnt be imagaining this... Did I dream the first 3? Ive even had 30 second ones which is really weird.
kthxbye
I want to know how some of you people who have had little dreams that come true years later manage to remember them. I can barely remember my dreams two hours after I've woken up from them.
Baku
