I think I'd be better off with a dog. I don't entirely trust technology to protect my children and home. That's probably old school thinking, but I'm old school anyway.

Wow, a fifteen-inch tall, five-pound robot. Not exactly the Daleks, are they?

LoL. Well they are only selling a limited amount of these things. they are damn expensive too !!! but I guess they have to get their money back on the money invested in the technology.

I dont think we are quite there yet. But in the next 5 years we'll see some interesting home robots, but probably still a bit dumb

happy.gif These robots are silly.

Until nanotech is merged with robots, they will probably just be for entertainment, or will be little more than the next step up from remote controlled cars with cameras.

But when nanotech starts invading the robots (in the form of nanoprocessors, etc), then the robot world will truley awaken. Until then... sleepy.gif

Machine designed for home security, entertainment

I think it'll end up being for entertainment purposes as opposed to security. I don't think it's supposed to ward anything/one off, anyway. It's more like a monitoring unit.

Well we have had robopets for years now. It only makes sense that the pets would evolve into humanoid form. Now all we need are the developement of military UAVs, RPVs, UTVs and robots running on a Microsoft OS so that the OS will corrupt itself and the Skynet vision will be realized.
