I have heard many rumours from friends that if the new pope is of dark skin Jesus Christ will return to the earth! They said that it is provisizied in the bible. I really wana no if it is real or if its just a rumour!! if you no anymore upon the subject plz tell me!!

The only people that would have a problem with a black or dark skinned pope are, religious extremists with racists beliefs (I have meet them many times). Probably the same type of people that believe Jesus was blue eyed, and blonde hared.

What difference does it make what colour the new pope is ? Do people forget that our souls are equal, and god doesn’t care about the colour of someone’s skin as that is for shallow and ignorant people. Our souls do not have skin, and god forbid we take racism into the after life.

I think anyone that has a problem with the pope being black, should re-evaluate there own prejudices.

Here's the way I look at the multiple prophecies. The next Pope, 'the glory of olives' and the 'black pope' (not to be confused with the Jesuits), will be Francis Arinze. I wouldn't be suprised if he will take the name Pope Benedict XVI, even though his mother was Christenized as Benedict. He is not the anti-christ and will only hold his seat for seven months before being assassinated. Then there will be one more last Pope, 'Petrus Romanus,' coming from Italy. The destruction of the Vatican and Rome, 'city of seven hills,' and the Judgement will happen in this reign.

I'm not sure if I believe in any of this, but it is interesting.

The only nasty people are the ones that are obsessed with "the end of times" its almost if they are praying for it to happen what horrendous people. Wasn’t it Satan that wants death and destruction.

People obsessed with the end of the world, are the ones that are anti Christ, I feel so sorry for Jesus, being he has deluded followers that are obsessed with the deaths of billions of people in a "holy apocalypse" Some people have such a evil view of the world and of god. All he did was come to the earth to teach love and peace, and his words have been twisted and manipulated in order that power obsessed people can control others with fear, and to convince easily lead people that the end is near.

What horrible lives these end of the world obsessed people must live.
If the end of the world does come, it will have nothing to do with god, but everything to do with these power hungry religions and political evil extremists.

If you go by some people's interpretation of the prophecies in Revelations 17 and 18, the Catholic Church at the Vatican is the Great Whore and the Vatican is Babylon. I don't want to upset any Catholics; I'm just stating what some people believe. If this event happens, it's not the end of the world yet. There is suppose to be a 1000 years of peace after this event with Satan being locked away.

Every time i take a plane , I have the same feeling as I do every time I see this stuff about the end of the world...If It is my time then I go with love in my heart, and full knowledge that I have lived each day to the best of my ability for all mankind.

Dont let religious lunatics frighten you, there main goal is to make you as fearful and depressed as they are, and fear and suppression is a great way to achieve that. If the end of the world happens, it will have nothing to do with the bible or god, it will have to do with the evil corrupt people that rule our planet, unfortunately some of the most evil of them people happen to be "religious" people. Something very frightening is Bush is a evangelical Christian, and many evangelical Christians love the end of the world, or as they call it "the end of times" if Bush does love it like many evangelicals, he is in a position to make sure it happens. He seems to be going the right way about it so far.

Nothing about being mean, and more about trying to read her posts. If I was going to be mean, I wouldn't have botherd with "No offence..." And would have been sarcastic and tell her that netspeak makes my brain hurt and IQ drop.

I thought I actually gave the Bible scriptures. Of course Revelations is suppose to be about the end of the world to some people and to others the Beast was Nero and was talking about earlier times. Is any of it true? Well you can't tell if prophecy is true until it happens and even then it may be argued that it's all interpretation. This is why I was given my interpretation even though I'm not sure I believe it.

What's interesting is that my interpretation would have the next Pope in office for 7 months and the one after him for 7 years. This happens to coincide with the December 2012 ending date of the Mayan calender, which by the way I wasn't using for the prophecies of the Popes.

Have any of you noticed that besides Pope John Paul II being borned on a day with a solar eclipse that he was also buried on a day with a solar eclipse? Gives a whole new meaning to Malachy's 'De Labore Solis.'

2. Pope St. Gelasius(492-496)
3. Pope St. Miltiades or Pope St. Melchiades(dates??)

No, the next Pope isn't Jesus, the next Pope is the anti-christ. Whether he's black white or purple has nothing to do with it. Why everyone is making such a big thing about the next Pope possibly being black is beyond me. Color is irrelvant.

So many other people have claimed to be Jesus... somehow I doubt anyone's going to believe the next... ot the one after that... or the one after that... and well you get it...
