It seems tha disney is not necessarly the white knights of media that we all think they are. Here are several items that may not be commonly known.
It sems that unlike what a disney documentary seemed to prove, lemings to rwally all go commit suside-read the link, it is eye opening:
http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Disney/Lemmings.htmlIs Disneyland really pevert land-well police records seem to say so. read the items in the link and decide for yourself:
http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Disney/Perverts.htmlIs magic kingdom items built with sweatshop labor-read the link and see:
http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Disney/Labor.htmlDisney shows promote family and togatherness-don't they?
http://www.anomalies-unlimited.com/Disney/Disbits.htmlWell, after reading all the links-how magical is disneys kingdom now?

I'm not saying I trust or like Disney, but this is all from the same source, and that source is a website. Since websites [Especially just ONE website] usually lacks credability, it's probably not true. Do you have links to these stories from other sources?

Is Disney Evil? I doubt it. What they are however is a large corporation with all that brings with it. Whether it be making moves that seem cruel to cut costs, or childish actions by employees, or wrangles with the law..
We hold Disney to a higher standard than we might expect from say "DOW Chemicals" because they cater mainly to children and families and we want to think that they are above normal business practices because of that..
But understand that despite that they are in essence a money-making venture and nothing more..
So don't be shocked when things happen at Disney that might happen at any other multi-billion dollar corporation.

Given the size of Disney and its subsidiaries it entirely possible all these things have happened but most of those things are down to poor staff training, bored animators and bad damage limitation PR rather than Disney being out and out evil. I'd still rather children watched Disney stuff than say beat everything up power rangers.

Interesting opinions there. As someone else said, these were all from the same source and had an air of bias about it. I, for one, don't care one way or another towards Disney or it's products. As for the sweat shop issue; I saw no proof that Disney merchandise is made in sweat shops. If you can prove it to me, I'll stop buying their stuff (that's why I quit shopping at Old Slavey). I think the stories that deal with the death a parent are not negative but rather gives a more real-life experience. Lets face it, not everyone can live happily ever after. A child needs to be prepared for loss and I think these films can't hurt in that area. I did, however read about the lemmings on snopes and was very disappointed when I found out it was true. In fact, of all the links that were posted, that one had the most merit.

WDIV -TV in Detroit found a dirty word spoken in the cartoon short "The Clock Cleaner", Daffy Duck was clearly heard to say "F*ck You". When this was discovered, Wal-Mart pulled the video from the shelves. Disney edited it and re-released it for sale. Even though they said it really wasn't there, you dirty minded people
Daffy Duck is from the Lonney Tunes.

That looks like something an uneducated, easily upset, sensationalist soccer mom would write to get people to agree with her. Disney protesters won't get anywhere with this. They're a film company, and people will make up things to surround them in controversy. Why? Because they're Disney, and it would be interesting and ironic, so they spread rumors of "hidden adult material" in children's films. Most of the things on that list are not true, and made up, exaggerated, and spiced up to get people upset over Disney's apparent "turn for the worst."
The ONLY thing in a Disney film that was ever worth the controversy it received was the painting of a naked woman in about 3 frames of The Rescuers. I admit I can't defend that, but honestly one little questionable occurence isn't enough to convince me that Disney is EVIL.

Disney reminds me of a company in the need to brainwash it’s simple audience. I think it tries to compose an image that everything in life is swell to distract children from issues…I know this sounds a bit stupid, but all I see in that company is corruption…They’re amusement parks are graceful in stealing…they jack up their prices to compulsive proportions and it seems to happy…They probably murder children for satanic rituals…

I reckon that thing about the dressing rooms is true it's easy to spy there gaps and holes in the curtains. I have Disney autographs they must've fancied me. And my bros going to Disney next week I dread to think what they could be doing, watching.
And theres the deaths of the parents. I was young when I first saw the Lion King and when Simbas dad dies I was really upset. and it was the same in Bambi where his mummy dies and upsetting scene.
Disney must get turned on by death and they were making scenes in Toy Story 1/2 where the toys fight and get lost.
What made me laugh was the erection section (it rhymes

)
I love the picture

The Disney Corporation have sooooo many legends about them that it is insane. Anytime a large corporation gets to Disney-like proportions there will certainly be legends made up about them by someone. Especially if they make children's material.
Some things are true, as I lerned in my History of Animation and Digital Media course in art school:
-Disney's first distributor was a card-carrying member of the Nazi party
- Disney animators worked loads of overtime without pay to finish Snow White, since the studio was nearly broke. When the returns from the film came in, Walt went back on his promise to repay the animators.
- When those same animators joined the blossoming unionization of animators and demanded fairer wages, Walt fired them all for being "commies"
those are the only things I remember now.
