I wear a silver cross at all times just for religion, (catholic) but can crosses really repel spirits, ghouls, hell demons and whatnot? Does the cross have mystic properties to exorcise demons and stuff? I dunno if it does I am wearingmy cross right now.I am very superstitious when it comes to religion. I want to go to Heaven

why would a cross be able to do that??? a cross is just a representation of what jesus died on... and it has really no other significance other than baptism also... but other than that, it is just a cross.. a symbol, nothing more... and what does it mean to be superstitious about religion?

A cross is only there to show your religon and for the fact that god died on it to save us.

It is not a saveing tool from bad spirits and demons.

I think possession is very difficult to deal with and in the bible Jesus said some type can only be driven by fasting and prayer. So only your mind and soul is sharp and pure the dirty spirits will flee from you.

Get some holy water from your church, a garlic necklace, a wooden stake, and carry a bible in your pocket to cast off the ghouls with. When you want to expel them, Yell " In the name of the father and holy ghost be gone".

I doubt they can repel evil spirits,maybe?,alot of good people worship the significance of the cross and it may have picked up there positive vibes?
I find that if I cant sleep I think of a cross and it helps me relax.
Im not religous, I wanna go to Heaven too but I find that whole resurrection bit a tad far-fetched?

While I don't believe that a cross itself has powers of protection, I suppose it could be used as a channel for holy power to get rid of evil spirits etc. (If one believes they exist of course.) While this is an example from fiction, especially vampire movies, a holy person who has a deep connection with god can empower the cross to deflect evil. Just some poor shmuck would be better off running or succomming.

I believe that any religious symbol has power against evil, if you believe in it that is, its not the symbol its self, its the belief in that symbol that has the power. Belief its self is a very powerful thing, belief is thought, its the fact that we think, that proves we have consciousness, our consciousness is our soul its self. If you do not believe then what is possible ? nothing…… Someone’s personal will against something can quite literally move mountains, if you think about it strong enough.

Its also interesting you have a silver cross, as silver in occult lore is a powerful metal against evil, and evil spirits are said to be repelled by silver, as evil spirits do not like to see them selves, as they cant face what they are, its where the myth comes from that vampires can not be seen in mirrors, because they refuse to see them selves. Its also why mirrors are often used in the protection of evil spirits, silver is shiny and reflective, and will repel demons and evil spirits, its for this reason that some cultures through out history have used silver to ward of evil spirits from the dead, such as putting silver coins on the eyes of the dead person, because its believed that the eyes are the window to the soul, therefor by putting silver on the eyes, will stop any evil spirits trying to enter and posses the body.

religous symbols repel nothing, other than a few very real things in this world.

fear not of the unkown, is what is often said. Things are only evil because you make them out to be that way. As such, such beings would have no interest in crosses, bibles, or other religious symbols, other than to perhaps (as is so often seen) mock you.
