I would actually think this is pretty funny if it wasn't a Disney film that young kids would be seeing.

A more important question is this: what sort of 12 year old, upon discovering pornography, immediately reports it to an adult? Better watch that one...

HAHAHA,good point, in the artical they made him sound like a 3 year old too saying "mommy, there's nasty stuff on the TV" does he seriously talk like that?cause a 12 year old should have a better vocab than that.

Yes, I really should have choosen a better name for the topic...I was tired...it was late at night...what ya gonna do?
Anyway, it's a strange story especially the way they portrayed the 12 year old son. I for one wouldn't have been so quick to call the parents into the room...most likely I would have shut it off and tried to watch it after they went to bed, just out of curiosity.
I think stillcrazy makes a very good point, I think she is taking advantage of the situation...after hearing the story of the Wendy's finger incident I wonder if she just placed the movie there herself (who knows but I won't speculate any further). I find it very odd that she reported it to the media and not the police or library. I would think in most cases someone would just return it to the library and make sure the librarian on duty is made aware of what's on the tape so it won't happen again. I really think the matter of contacting the police should be left up to the library since it's their proberty that has been ruined. At any rate I think she is making a much bigger deal out of this than is warranted.

if you look closely at the picture of the boy with the tape you can see that the tape says "home on the range" it seems to me that somebody recorded over this material pupously. you would think that the laibray could trace the tape back to whomever rented it last. that would probably be the person that did this and could be prosuceted. since this tape is public properrty that is a crime to record over it. destruction of public property i think.

I think it's fake, just like the woman with the finger in the chili. The library said there are codes on the tape as well as the cover. Those factory VHS tapes, correct me if I'm wrong, are impossible to record over.
JMPD1
May 13 2005, 04:58 PM
Actually, yes you can record over a video tape from the factory. There is a slot on the back of the tape cassette. If you buy blank tapes, you will see there is a tab over the slot. Pre-recorded tapes have this tab snapped off which is a sfeguard against overtaping. If, however, you fill in the slot and cover it with strong tape, you can now record new info on the cassette.

Firstly I would be the one openiung the box and putting it in the VCR, therefore I would have found out before the child... It is probably a mistake how many times have you opened one of your own video's to find the wrong tape in there.
In fact I would be worried if my 12 year old Boy wanted a Disney movie.

2. Videogame Violence
3. Careless packageing of videotapes.
Back on track with this, What kind of 12 year old kid calls his mother Mommie, and calls pornography "nasty stuff"?
I saw someone like this on the message boards of Jade Empire's official site. The pansy was badmouthing ALL videogames (This is from the Atari days as well folks) because of violence. The kid's mother has raised a shut in with no real concept of the outside world! I can see it already happening with this guy. Can't wait till they're BOTH in High School. That is a crash course in reality if I ever saw it let me tell you.
