It seems that I have a virus on my PC. Well, that isn't such a huge problem but I was wondering if anyone else has a virus too. It sends files in PIF format and chooses a text from your PC to send with. Does anyone know what I am talking about?

Sounds like that Worm that was circulating a couple of months ago - my inbox was flooded with dozens of these PIF files from various people. I don't think It's harmful, just annoying. Best bet is to get norton anti-virus or another Anti-Virus program on your computer to get rid of it. Check out www.download.com if you haven't got any Anti-Virus programs to hand.
