I dont know if this belongs here but it has to do with religion.they make it sound like the pope is the leader of the world. read then post your thoughts.
mrmonsoon
He is not the leader of the world-period.

He is, however, the religious leader of a billion or so,people.

He is also the leader of the richest most powerful corporation, oops, groups in the world.

Besides, I thought the last pope was supposed to be black. He would signal the end of days time. However, the pope before the last pope was supposed to reign only 6 months-so time will tell.
hyuugaNeji
why would the last pope be black? in the article they said that it could come down to people choosing sides, as if something big is going down

Hi all

You know one thing all of us should know is, believe me when I tell you, that you do not want god to lose hope in you, and even more hope in human kind it self, because your know the true meaning of the word despair if he/she does.

Maybe human kind wont realise the true depth of its stupidity until human kind stands in a baron waist ground, and the whole world has been ruined, maybe then god will have wash his/her hands with human kind. We will only have our selves to blame right?.

With pathetic and stupid beliefs that god is evil, and is going to destroy the whole world, its no wonder we are in trouble is it? As a human race, maybe when we all stand in the ashes and rubble the stupid might then realise ‘man have I been stupid, god isn’t evil and cruel’ and that maybe human kind will then realise that it was the stupid and the ignorant and the fearful that where the evil and cruel.

You better all hope and pray that god is not going to give up on us all, I think its safe to say that god will never give up on us, even the ones that portray him as a Armageddon loving tyrant, I am sure he will forgive us all as I believe god will never give up on us. If he/she does give up, at least he/she will know I did not fear him/her and that I never accused him of being a wrathful tyrant.

I love you god, and thank you for giving me my eternal life, and I am sorry for those that mock you, and that they are not able to live the life you gave them.

look to history for the answer. people tend to not think rationally. In times of more turmoil, there was greater talk of doom, judgement, gods, etc. It is just the irrational, unorganized way people think without training. (and i think we probably agree on which groups do the most to undermine logical thinking ph34r.gif )

According to the various and sundry doomsayers throughout the ages, the world has been, or is on the brink of being, on the precipice of armageddon, destruction, tribulation, and generally, in for a bad end.

Sorry to burst your bubble faeden. But God tells us to look for the times when jesus and the end times will come so we can turn our lives around for the better. It tells us in bible to look for the changing of the seasons, that people will run from the waves, tells us to look for signs. He commends us to cuz no matter what it will happen. I do love God and thank him everyday but if you love him you have to whole heartadly and not change something to fit your beleifs. You are fine to have your own beleifs but only one forcing a ideal here is you. Now I'am telling you mine. God gives us permission to look for these end signs. This is a relgion forum and religion is the most debated subject in the world. I like to talk alot of it, that don't mean I hate God. For he tells me to look for the signs and changes of the earth concerning everything from the seasons down to the pope. That don't make us bad people! And I've read somewhere that you stated that people that cry for jesus to come back are wrongful and bad people. They aren't. they wanna be out of this suffering world and be with God and they're Jesus. For the same reason that people that are mentally ill want to escape. Well so do some Chriitan followers. They don't want suffering nomore, they wanna go where they're home is, and nothing wrong with that.
So maybe if you wouldn't judge those that beleive what you don't then you'd see more than what you want to.

Sorry to burst your bubble Kate, but your "Savior" said that he would return while some of those standing there were still alive! Well, do you see any 2000 year old disciples standing around? Seems like your religion missed on that one, huh? And please don't hand me where others said different, after all, one Messiah trumps every other card in the deck! yes.gif

Very true, and a point that has been glossed over for millennia...I do not think that there has been a time in history where Jesus was not supposed to be coming back, but folks keep falling for it time and time again. I guess if it works then you must stick with it.

As for the new pope; I'd love to see him draw a line in the sand and to work towards dividing the church between the hardcore catholics that are willing to maintain the strict catholic doctrine and those who go with their conscience in deciding what to do in life. Losing the 74 percent that use their own minds to make decisions would be a good thing in my opinion. The fact that he all but blew off the sexual abuse scandel as "being blown out of preportion by the media" without so much as a mention of the actual pedophiles in his ranks shows me that he could care less and will continue to cover up for his abusive priests as been done for who knows how long.

The church is going backwards and will continue to isolate itself in my opinion...

I've read the :Book of Revalations several times and true to the point, it does seem a lot of what happens in the Book is happening these days. As frigthening as it seems, I can't wait to see Him step out onto the clouds and call us home. (by us I mean all those washed in the blood of Christ.) We do have some time before it happens though... And has been happening over and over since long before the time Rev was written! The only thing is that today with nearly instantaneous communications, we know when it happens, not 2 - 3 months later. Pretty easy to meet all the criteria if the prophesy sets the criteria to be everyday things - huh? rolleyes.gif

Yes thank you dear!! I beleive the same thing and hope to be walking up and giving jesus the biggest, hug, kiss and smile I can give him and say to him ' thank you for everything' & 'thank you for taking a back welt everyday that I sinned and still forgiving me'. That will be grand. And of course I'll have to give his big father a handshake also, though I would imagine his hands would be awful big.hheeheh grin2.gif

Why do you see the fulfilment of the revelations as negative and destructive?

The seasons are out of synch because of the new energy coming from the sun which is causing everything to vibrate at a higher frequency. Nature will take time to adjust to this, as will all of those who are to 'ascend' first.

Ascension is about the awakening of the pyshe to fully incorporate the spirit. Moving from duality into triality-the blending of dark/light/spirit. This planet has already advanced to the 5th dimension but only a small proportion of humans have woken up to the fact so far, and that is becuase they are 'lightworkers' who's job it is to 'ascend'(wake up) first so they can teach the others.

JMPD1
"new energy from the sun'????

Could you explain, or attempt to explain, what this is supposed to mean?

i do see disciples standing around... i, myself am a disciple... jesus was speaking of his followers, his disciples... to believe is to believe, but to give ur whole life to jesus and commit ur whole life to God, that is to be a disciple.... so yes, i do see disciples standing around, and we all see posts by them, kate, for instance...

The light from the sun has increased in frequency(vibration) and is helping the earth to vibrate at a higher level. The vibration is measured in hertz, the background vibration in southern England was normally around 7 hertz, when measured 3 years ago it had reached 14 hertz. Haven't got the latest reading but I will try to find it. NASA denied that there was something happening, but a Russian scientist admitted that there was.

This is also due to the spiritual awakening in humans, and the love they are pouring into the planet right now.
The earth and her inhabitants must vibrate at a higher frequency before they can be fully 100% psychically/spiritually awake. Spirit cannot fully integrate with humanity unless it is fully awake, the energy is too much.

Lightworkers like myself, have been receiving higher frequencies of energy down through our chakras, opening them wider and activating dormant parts of our psyche. There are many symptoms of this awakening- I have added an attachment.

Wow! So you are 2000 years old?!?! You don't look a day over 1500. wink2.gif

Supposedly, the Nazarene was to return in his disciples lifetime - lets say up to 30 years after his ascension- as opposed to 2000 years.

Not to knock anyones beliefs, but these "EOTW" prophecies are rather escapist in my view. It seems that the message is "don't worry about this life & world, everything will be much better in the next."

And, while it might prove to be so, I would rather work towards making THIS life a world worth living rather than hoping for a reward in the next.

Commentators (both biblical and secular) universally agree that this return that Jesus was referring to is the period of approximately forty days after his death and resurrection where Jesus appeared to people.

The second coming of Christ however, the time and hour is unknown. 1st Century Christians believed it would be in their lifetime - so much so that it prompted the apostle Paul to tell them to get back to their daily routines; it would not be for a while (it's 1:30 in the morning in my part of the world - I'm too tired to find the exact quote for you all.
