Ok,valderus and I have been wondering, is there really yin and yang?
I'm a believer, I see that darkness wouldn't exist if there wasn't light. It's like talking about a doughnut hole. You can only talk about the hole by talking about the stuff around it. Just like darkness cannot exist whithout light. Some would say that the line between them is clear, but it is way to blurry to me. Now many dwell on that blurry line. It's quite hard to be totally good, or totally evil.
Does anyone have a response?

uummmm. i believe
if you had nothing but good for all eterntiy
you in turn would know nothing but good and if you knew nothing but good, you would know what the hell evil was...therefore, in order for good to be present there needs to be evill,

darkness and light, good and evil, love and hate. They are all opposites, but at a closer look i have concocted my own little theory. Take love and hate for example, When you are in love you care what happens to the other person and try to make a positive impact on their life, when you hate someone you care what happens them and try to make a negative impact on their life. They seem more like two sides of the same coin, rather than opposites. Then you add apathy into the equation, not caring at all what happens for good or for bad. Here you an opposite to both. Then the true opposite of good and evil would be a life which had no negative or positive impact. Probly a really boring life. And finally we come to darkness and light, both of which you can see, one being the lack of the other. The opposite then would be nothingness, no light, no darkness, But what in nature shares these properties? A black hole? They are only seen because the light around them is being sucked into them, they have no color spectrum, in fact they suck in darkness just as fast as they suck in light. Thats my theory, hope you all enjoyed.

I believe the yin and yang aspect to be more related to feminine/receptive(yin)qualities and masculine/creative (yang) qualities in all things. You can witness these for yourself.
They are complimentary opposites but both being contained within the whole. Try a website like this one i just came across:

Good and Evil only exist because humans invented those concepts to define whether their actions were socially acceptable or not..I don't believe Yin and Yang come into play there..
If however, you're talking about balance then, yes..
We can see how everything in the natural world tends to balance itself out just right, so that everything can function. And when some catastrophe or upheaval does occur to offset this balance, nature immediately begins to try and stabilize itself until it functions normally again.Sometimes this may take thousands of years, but it's always happened..
