i added a picture because people tend to look at topics with a picture included, and who said vampires weren't around then?

That sight got confusing with repeating the first part of the story over and over again.. i read the first one and parts of the second and third.
A human body will reject the drinking of blood, (from what ive heard). After so much the body will 'puke' it up.
If this guy drank all that blood and didnt get sick.. then maybe we have something there. All in all.. it could have been an overtold story.

well according to the movie fight club, you can drink a pint of blood before being sick, i have no idea how accurate that is though no.gif

When I was about 7 I had a hard lollypop at lunchtime. I bit it and a part of it sliced under my tongue making it bleed.
I was too scared to tell anyone and just kept swallowing blood all afternoon. By dinner time I was feeling very sick and couldn't eat. My parents took me to hospital where I vomited blood everywhere. The doctors couldn't stitch the area it was in so had to put a lot of padding and pressure there to stop the bleeding.

So I'm living proof that yeah your body cannot tolerate taking in large amounts of blood.

Tia, the cut must have been bad as the mouth generates Anti-coagulants in your saliva... The thought of someone drinking a pint of blood is enough to make you sick, although I am sure there are some freaks out there that would think this normal.

Goths?
Tia
I was only a kid, so I never actually looked at the cut.
I was worried about getting in trouble ( bad childhood ) that's why I never told anyone.

Interesting fact about saliva XSAS, I know leeches have that didn't know humans did.
The piece of lolly was like a glass sliver so imagine that cutting into the soft area of your mouth near that little piece of flesh thats attached to your tongue. crying.gif

the human body can adapt to blood though. for example, my nose is very sensitive, and so i get frequent nose bleeds, sometimes 2-3 a day. when you plug your nose to stop them, the blood has nowhere to go but to your stomach, and with the amount of blood i would swallow one one of those days is about 3/4-1 pint. when i was little, it would give me a stomach ache, but now i kinda like the taste... devil.gif

random fact: blood is the most nutritious drink you can drink happy.gif
Falco Rex
The fact that he's dead now should count for something against him being a vampire, at least in the traditional sense..As the story suggests he was probably a serial killer before there was even a word that described the condition..

..On a completely unrelated note..A "Portugese" Sailor named "James Brown"? huh.gif

Was he the godfather of soul on the ship?

When I was in my teens I had really bad nosebleeds. And once I was taken to hospital because I had a nose bleed for 7 hours, because it was right at the front and they couldn’t get it to stop. I had my nose packed with a special material to stop the bleeding and had to stay in hospital for 3 days, because they though I might need a blood transfusion. My point is, for hours I was vomiting a brown sludge – the blood that had made it back my throat. I was bringing up kidney bowls full of the stuff. So in my experience the stomach doesn’t like it, and rejects it. unsure.gif

human blood contains so much iron that it's a poison. nutritious, maybe, but you'd probably have to have a SERIOUS iron deficiency to drink it and not get sick at all.
