ok anyhoo i think its just a old story that went around a long time ago, like a myth or boogyman story tongue.gif point is people could have been killed by the gas and the heat maybe melt thier skin i donno lol, but i guess im a lil skeptic about spirits and gods and such tongue.gif

back then they did think there was a god or spirit for the sky, earth, water, fire, etc so they could have thought it as a god from the volcano or w/e

Well, I would say most uncommon/non-visited/hard-to-find (hidden) towns/villages would usually have their own myth, legend, etc. This just happens to be one case, and I can't believe it...But that is my opinion -
