Experts have been battling over the potential veracity of a video of Bigfoot in the weeks since a Norway House man claimed to spot a strange creature earlier this month. Ferry operator Bobby Clarke was taking a vehicle barge across the Nelson River at the northern end of Lake Winnipeg on the morning of April 16 when he noticed something on the shore. He grabbed his camcorder and shot a two-minute, 49-second clip of a tall, dark humanoid-like figure moving on the riverbank.The family of the man who shot the video says an American television outlet has purchased the footage. The family would not reveal the name of the outlet or how much money changed hands. There is no word on when the video may be made public. A few believers have been making their case in the media, talking about their research and plaster casts of footprints they've collected. However, the majority of scientists insist Sasquatch is a myth, including James Hare, a zoologist at the University of Manitoba. Hare doesn't reject the possibility outright, but he says he would need to see "credible" scientific proof.

"It would take some more concrete physical evidence, things like hair samples, bones – a carcass obviously would be very useful." Hare notes that most sightings are eventually proven to be hoaxes. "I can see the media's interest. We don't want to rule out that there could be something out there. New species are discovered all the time," he says. "I would prefer, of course, that the media concentrate its attention on more tangible issues, things like habitat fragmentation, habitat loss, environmental degradation and those species that we can study."

The "outlet" responsible will most likely compile a tad more evidence then create a "Special" program revolving around the video footage.

Well, fox did have shows on about nessie and Bigfoot in the past. They where proving if some of the famous crypto pics and vids where true. I cant wait to see this vid.

I'm going to go through my sticker collection, find one with the word FAKE written on it and slap it on the footage.

My friend tried to go upto the spot where it was sighted and the police are acually closing off the area due to to amny bigfoot hunters swarming the area and not cleaning up after themselves.

Some of you skeptics are so quick to declear things a fake, you've judged it before you've even looked at it.

Well, unfortunately Walken, people make up their minds before they have even researched the things they are criticizing, or when they have never heard of it before.

There is a lot of proof that Bigfoot does indeed exist, but then again, I always found it strange that the most famous photographs of Bigfoot were taken in a place called 'Bluff Creek'.

Lets say Bigfoot does exist and is found, people will see it as a threat and hunt it to extinction. It is better for animals if they stay cryptids, and aren't 'discovered'.

Reminds me of when a certain someone was laugthing at a guy who thought he'd been abducted because he had dreams of being trapped in a womb...

Does anybody know where I can find a news story verifying that this video will be aired on Fox? I ask because I have been searching around for news on the subject and have only found one vague reference to the video being sold...it doesn't mention Fox however. I noticed that several people have posted an article saying the video will be shown on fox but I can't find a source to back that up can anybody help?

I will hold my opinion until I see the video. I hope it is good, but the only thing that will truly prove it is a living creature would be a dead animal.

I cannot wait to see this footage, a friend of mine who goes all over the internet said he read somewhere someone who had seen the footage said "if it is real then it is proof" it's supposed to be that good. But yeah I can't wait to see this.

I have been told that what was seen in the footage was real and not a hoax, and it was said that the bigfoot was about 10 ft tall. Now of course, this might not be real but I did ask the daughter of the guy who sold the copy to FOX.
And I hear it still unknown to when its going to be aired.

Yes I've been there and I have to say I'm a little upset the show isn't running here in Maine yet!!!! GrRRRrr!! So I guess it will be up to some fine upstanding individual to post it on the web so that those of us outside modern society will also be able to view it.
