whats your opinion on this subject?
do you feel these programs represent real life or are simply jumping on the bandwagon on all the others?
do shows like wife swap go too far?
what happens to some of the real people afterwards, after they have their limelight?

Documentaries how dare you confuse the essence of documentaries with reality tv, those aren't documentaries, reality tv are shows that have no scripts but are staged, edited, and a label is put on whoever is the b****, the mean one, the slut, the cry baby, the gay guy, the black guy and etc. All it is for is to exploit stupid people to do stupid things for stupid people to watch. I must reserve my self though some of them are good stuff, but a depiction of reality, no!

How unentertaining life can be for somebody to say lets watch real life, survivor is on?

I have a great distaste for these shows, I think all they are is a sign of the declining I.Q. of the U.S. and the world. Some of them are just dumb (wife swap, extreme make over, etc , and only a few of them are actually entertaining like "The Surreal Life."

I think so I think these people are exposed.

But a show that goes to far is extreme make over in my opinion. I felt sad when I saw mothers go under the knife, what message did it give to their girls (my mother is getting plastic surgery because she is ugly which makes me ugly) I hope I'm wrong about this.

I think doc-com's like the Office are very funny, but it was only made a doc-com so it was cheaper to edit and film.
