You actually have several dreams a night. But you only remember the ones that are closer to the time you wake up.
You have to set yourself into thinking. " Okay, im gona remember a dream tonight"
Try a dream journal.. putting into it any little thing you remember from a dream in a nights sleep.
This can help you to start remembering things more.
Sometimes you only remember parts of a dream after something during the day made you realize it.. Run and write it down.. it dosent matter if its a jumbeled mess. Just the fact that you have consentrated on something your subconsious pictured out for you can help a lot.

There is a thing called "Delta Sleep."
This is the deepest for of sleep one can acheive.
This is usually when you have very vivid dreams, and usually you go through this sleep stage once a month.

We always always dream every single night, even if you don't think you did you did. My boyfriend had trouble remembering dreams until he started a dream journal. All you have to do is write anything you remember the closest to when you first wake up as possible, this is when your dreams are most fresh. Once you start you begin to remember them more freguently.

yeah. I also heard that you have dreams every night as well...something about keeping the brain busy while you are sleeping or something...I dunno.
BUT- I always remember my dreams 90% of the time...it is rare I wake up not remembering a dream...it's just later on the day...I can't remember all the details that I had remembered before.

Supposedly they are to help your brain store all of the information and happenings of that day

but i've had dreams that have come true

just put an ordinary spiral notebook and pen/pencil next to your bed and when you wake up (it's better if you start it when you can wake up naturally-not wake up to an alarm clock) reach over and get it and start writing down key points from your dream even before you open your eyes. the very second you open your eyes you start to lose memories from your dreams so just taking a few seconds w/ your eyes closed writing jumbled memories is a start.
after doing this for a while, you will find that you start remembering your dreams with greater detail and you may start lucid dreaming where you can control what happens in your dreams and can wake yourself up from disturbing dreams.
there are a lot of books available on the subject. do a search for 'lucid dreaming' and you'll be amazed at all the info you'll get!

I wouldve already forgotten several of my dreams if i hadnt stored them into a tiny notebook. It's really cool to read them later. I think the most scariest dreams are the most fun and exciting dreams. For example once I was running away from man eater aliens. Then when they catched me, I shot myself so they couldnt eat me from alive. It was cool, cos somehow in the dream I knew they arent really dangerous. Dreams I hate most are those which are centered in my school

You must be a heavy sleeper! You will always have dreams no matter what you think, if you see nothing while a sleep you are either sleeping lightly or sleeping heavily.
I wouldn't think it's something to worry about.
Maybe you could change your sleeping pattern or something.

People who can easily remember their dreams live generally longer than people who always forget their dreams, no?

Everyone dreams although you might not be able to see everything you dream. This is mainly because you are a deep sleeper which is so deep you just can't remember what you dreamt about.

I don’t have dreams very much but when I do they last from when I fall asleep, till I wake up. They’re usually pretty weird and it involves people I don’t even know…Oh well my cerebral cortex must be working up a storms hehe…

Yeah, the dream journal. Even if you only remember a few points, when you start writing them down, you'll remember more and more. I've written dreams down and then looked at them later and not remember having them or even writing them down. Also, drink milk before bed. This intensifies dreams. I have also had vivid dreams after taking Dramamine before sleep.

Eat before bed and try not to think right before you sleep. Having a active mind at night will stop you from having dreams and give you lack of sleep.

Be careful what you wish for. I don't know if you've read any of my posts/responses, but maybe you should rethink your situation and count yourself lucky.
