it seems that when I go to sleep I keep waking up every hour, but with 49 minutes, like if I go to bed at 10, i'll wake up at 11:49, then 12:49, 1:49, 2:49 and so on!

What could this mean? HELP!

I've tried counter spells to find out if it was a curse or anything but it is not!

Counter spells? I'm not here to be a cynic, but, bah.

This has happened to me before, too. I know I'm not in the path of any vengeful witches or anyone else that knows anything about the occult, so I can confirm it isn't a curse. I would always snap awake at certain times, I think it was either at the 30 or on the hour, I cant remember exactly. This is actually quite interesting to experience, nothing bad ever came of it. Sleep for a few more days and it should stop, or if all else fails, do the following:

Before you go to bed, get a cup and fill it with water. Place the cup above your bed or near your head while you sleep. On the next night, refill the water and do the same. If it didn't work the first night, then it should soon. thumbsup.gif [Just to let you know that is a real superstition that I have found to keep bad dreams away like it says. Maybe it will help this too]

It sounds like some kind of insomnia. A few years ago, I would wake up every hour on the hour. Drove me insane. It hasn't happened in a long while, though.

Yeah, that may be what it is.

Or maybe its caused by stress.

Got to re-program your mental clock. I can do the same thing, if I "want" to do that. Get it really close. Can wake up at anytime I choose, sometimes we choose this...but not admit to ourselves that we have made the choice. Not spells from outside your mind, but ones from within. Effect the change by "visualizations"...image the results...let go. Image the results, let go. Do this until you break your own fear-controlled waking up. What's with the 49? Is it something you picked up at school...work? where? Then re-see it...re-imagine it. Then it will go...sooner or later, but whatever you do, don't give up or convince yourself you have no power to counter-act this groove of the mind. peace.

I have no idea on how 49 affects my life at all... perhaps it was a sub-conscience number that I remeembered from weeks ago or something? Mabey it was a mark I got on that test and I studied really hard to get better afterword!

Insight
The human mind functions by recognizing patterns in the world around it. This is the most base of all mental functions. It's likely that you saw the number a few times in a row, by coincidence, and because of that, your brain started seeing a pettern of this number. Everytime you saw a number that wasn't 49, your mind recorded it differently, either ignoring the commonality of a random number or storing it in less prevalent memory sectors. Patterns get the forfront of our memory. And thus, you now seems to be seeing a repeat of that same number, even though your eyes see hundereds of numbers all day long.
