The Sera One will now revive a dead topic

Just finished Jade Empire, after a fairly long sitting...allow me to venture the following opinions

The game felt extremely short....good...but short. It took me about 18-19 hours, game time, to finish...that's not at all long for an RPG. It felt more like a movie to me than the gameplaying experience you get from Final Fantasy and the like.
The lack of ability to customise your characters frustrated me...three selectable skins for each gender didn't seem enough to me. I expected a little more from Bioware on that front. I would also have liked it if you could have purchased armour or robes to customise your characters look a little...I think, these days, that's something fundamental to RPGs, that a lot of people want to see.
Having said that, it is an awesome game...the plot never stops moving and, unlike just about any other game I could name, I didn't feel there was a single moment where things got dull after the story got moving (I did feel that the first section of the game in the Two Rivers was a little slow, but from that moment on it just takes you off on a ride).
The voice acting is great...as with every game, there were bound to be a few turkeys, but none of them were among the main cast; Master Li is superb. On that same token, the characters felt very fleshed out, realistic (yes, even the ten feet tall demon) and well written.
The game world was rich, the plot was engrossing, and the gameplay was fast paced, fun, and easy to pick up. It's ironic....I actually bought the Xbox to play Fable, but Jade Empire has vastly overshadowed it
