It's a fake, BearMan. You can find an explanation in the forum that the cryptozoology website maintains;

This is a fake, though it was never intended as a hoax. The image in question is scanned from a book called Charlie White published in 2001 by Goliath. It contains a number of excellent photographic essays produced by capable special effects technicians that tell macabre and disturbing stories. This one is one of a series entitled "In a Matter of Days".
The creature was designed by renown creature designer Jordu Schell with assistance by Mario Torres and Mark Villialobos and was shot in either LA or Pasadena. The photographer was Craig Ashby. Extras were provided by Cameo Casting.
As cool as the image is, it is actually illegal to exhibit it without the permission of Goliath, so it should probably be taken down.
Hope this clears things up. Sorry to disappoint you guys.
Charlie White is a photographer who works with props to make disturbing images. Do a search on google for other examples.

I think this is a prime example of why unexplained-mysteries.com excells so far as a website concerning itself with the unusual goes. There are a few good people arond here that will go out and find an answer to a problem such as this. By doing do, it adds to the overall credibility of what is left unanswered.
So I tip my hat to those people who consistently go out of their way to offer real opinions. You (and you know who you are) make this a website worth visiting and contribution to.
Now since I am done my off-topic portion of this reply, I will point out that even if that explination is completly false, the photo is of a head that is much larger than any Chupacabra head should be based on thier eariler "sightings". Also, the face is not prognathic as a chupacabra's should be.
As it is, I would tend to accept the explination posted by Magikman over it being a Chupacabra. My observations might help any of you rebels that don't like the one he posted though.

MM and SM are right. Even if it were real, it ain't no chupacabra. Way to big and none of the physical characteristics. It looks more anphibian or subterranian. And, if my one active brain cell recalls correctly, I think I've seen something very similar to it in some sci-fi or horror flic.
Or was that my third wife...
Maybe the fourth...

For some people no explination is good enough.
or they just don't read through the thread before replying to it.
