CLEARFIELD, Pa. - The burger war is growing. Literally. Denny's Beer Barrel Pub, which lost its crown as the home of the world's biggest burger earlier this year, is now offering a new burger that weighs a whopping 15 pounds.

Dubbed the Beer Barrel Belly Buster, the burger comes with 10.5 pounds of ground beef, 25 slices of cheese, a head of lettuce, three tomatoes, two onions, a cup-and-a-half each of mayonnaise, relish, ketchup, mustard and banana peppers — and a bun.

It costs $30.

"It can feed a family of 10," said Denny Liegey Sr., the restaurant's owner.

Denny's Beer Barrel Pub had offered a 6-pound burger — with 5 pounds of toppings.

In February, a 100-pound female college student became the first to eat the burger within the three-hour time limit. Kate Stelnick, of Princeton, N.J., was awarded a special certificate, a T-shirt and other prizes and Leigey picked up the $23.95 tab for the burger.

One month later, the Clinton Station Diner in Clinton, N.J., introduced a 12.5-pound burger dubbed Zeus.

So Liegey responded, and the Belly Buster was born.

Over the weekend, four men took the challenge, but couldn't get through the entire burger. They opted for doggie bags, instead.

"It's a little too much for me to handle," said Steve Hepburn, of Clearfield. "It's like trying to eat half a cow."

Hey don't blame the corporations.

Lardarses are getting lardier because they lack self control and shove tons of fatty foods down their gluttonous gobs.

They have no one to blame but themselves.

About the burger:

That ain't so big tongue.gif Come down to my local town...THATS some big arse burgers wink2.gif

I agree, the food isn't being forced down someone's throat.. it's them eating and eating and then eating some more. The food places just feed off of the gluttony. They know that there are many large people out there, and as long as they are willing to fork out the money, the resturants will continue to make the menus bigger and bigger.

I personally get sick and tired of having to pay more for bigger meals which in turn I end up throwing most of the food out because the portions are to gigantic to stomach.
MadEyePixie
That's really gross. Can we say heart attack on a bun?

I always thought that if you ate 15 pounds of food at a setting you'd die..how in the hell did a 100lb girl do it? wacko.gif

AztecInca
And someone will probably have a heart attack just after eating these burgers and sue the organisation when it was their own bloody fault for eating it in thr first place and there will be a good chance they were already overweight before hand.

I know what you mean. It reminds me of that girl who wins the hot dog eating contest every year. She weighs about the same I believe but can scarf down those hot dogs like you wouldn't believe. Maybe both girls should have some sort of contest together. That would be... interesting.

Thanks ForRizzle I was looking for a photo of the 15 pounder...god that is a disgusting amount of hamburger though. Yet oddly enough I find myself very tempted to try it...hmmm

Do think you could pound that baby? The article says a 100 pound college girl was the first to eat the entire thing within 3 hours. I know I couldnt do it. They should plate these things up at one of those eating contests.
TheOriginalF
I don't think I would even make a dent in it...but I haven't eaten lunch yet and it's looking pretty good right now.

I think the 100 pound college girl finished off the smaller 96 oz burger and not the 15 pounder...but that is still quite sick!
Feenix Fire
Man that's a big burger! Lubbock, Texas sells a 72 ounce steak. They have an hour time limit for the contest. ugh.
