Video Games don't really make movies...

Look at the evidence- Mortal Kombat, Mario Brothers, Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Wing Commander... all crap.

We got a couple 'nice tries' (Final Fantasy, Alone in the Dark), but for the most part, Hollywood makes them into marketing-laden crap, starting with casting a flavor-of-the-month A-list actor/actress who's out of their league... if it's serious, they cheese it out. If it's supposed to be a bit fun, they're stiff, can't just have fun with the role to save their lives.

For this movie, I see advertising and propoganda over substance... the Rock being in it proves they don't care about substance. I wouldn't be surprised if we had aliens eating reeses pieces, playing with doom toys, and kissing George W. Bush's ass.

Yeah, what really makes the Doom atmosphere is the combination of Mars merging with Hell, and massive overpowering gore; not A-List Actors. Personally I would prefer an actor I haven't ever seen or heard of to play the sarge so I can focus on the goddamn bloodshed and demons. rolleyes.gif

Agreed.
This isn't Doom.
