Did you ever think that what you are eating is not what it seems? Have you ever thought that the vegans were up to something? I have, and with good reason too. In the recent past, there have been several outbreaks of the now infamous Mad Cow Disease. Now with recent incidents in Canada, it is striking closer to the U.S. where billions of punds of beef is eaten anually. What i believe, along with many of my peers is that the government is actually run by the FDA which in turn, is run by a mass majority of vegans (green party members). "Remember kids, eat your greens..." GREEN Party, GREENS (or vegetables)...Coincidence, I think not! In the past, vegans have been discriminated against like how pandas discriminate against their offspring by sitting on and potentially killing them. I am starting to go off subject here. What I am trying ot say is that Mad Cow Disease is just a step forward in the government to stop us from eating meat. This, Mad Cow Disease, is the vegans largest jump in trying to turn the world over to their ways. Over the span of hundreds of years the vegans have slowly stopped us OMNIvores from eating such meats as woodchuck, parakeet, salamander, and other animal flesh that we now render as "grotesque" or "icky". But has anyone taken a bite out of one of these as of late? Now, with the internet and its "information super-highway," propaganda can affect the entire population of the world (and beyond). No, this is not the first time that a Mad Animal Disease had been brewed up. For instance, in the seventeenth century, the worldwide chicken population was infected with mad Chicken Disease. The small size of the fowl did not affect the human body and the chickens still lived. The plan was aborted. Ever wonder why chickens can run after their heads are cut off? This was simply a genetic by-product of their ancestor's contamination.
Disregard the so-called "deadly" Mad Cow Disease. We are responding just how they would want us to. If you find yourself giving up a porterhouse for a parsnip, they already have you in their grasp. If they conquer the cow, which is the most consumed meat, we may never eat that protein-rich meat ever, ever again. This is a warning, ignore it if you will, but a life of celery and water awaits you!
Bizarro
laugh.gif celery and water. ya, right. (finishing a plate of soy tacos.... yummy).

i hope you meat eaters keep on eating. it would keep your mouths full and your hands busy so i don't have to read this type of nonsense.

mad cow never bothers me. i don't worry about additives, E Coli, spoiled meat, etc. i just eat healthy food that tastes good. maybe you should try it sometime.
Kismit
Dshwartz , Did you know that there is eostrogen in Soy based products ?
The use of Soy milk ifor infants has been linked to Thyroid gland problems later in life and that the estrogen creats a layer of fat which effects the male brain decreasing it's abillity to learn ... whistling.gif

Bizarro
actually, its called phytoestrogen, a plant like compound that ACTS like estrogen in some circumstances and does not in others. it is not estrogen. all those ill effects you claim are not proven and are debated by experts.

soy is one of the most healthy things you can eat. i don't eat it everyday, in fact i eat it maybe once or twice a week- because its expensive here. when you are a vegetarian you have to get protein from the best sources in vegetables. soy is a great vegetable source of protein. i have no problem eating it.

now i could have gone into all the health problems that meat eaters are KNOWN to have from eating meat, but i honestly don't care to have this discussion again. i only responded because of the idiocy of the original post. vegans are out to take over the world! just another deliberate attempt to rouse me, im sure.
Kismit
I couldn't resist Dshwartz .

However my youngest boy used to be lactose intolerant so Soy milk was actually used on him growing up . For the year he was on soy milk his developement was slowed . Fortunately he was allready well ahead of the pack when he started the soy milk . Putting him on soy milk is something I feel guilt over now , because I can see that he missed a years developing and often wonder what he would be like if I hadn't ever given him the stuff in the first place . (I know it's a silly way to think but you just can't help it sometimes )
I am trying to hunt down a site that has been put up by a Doctor who travels around showing people the results of test's he has performed and enlightening them to the virtues of drinking unpasturised cows milk .In every case of Thyroid problems he has ever dealt with the patient was given Soy milk in chilhood . Untill then this Link may be interesting . I have no desire to turn this into a debate . I just thought that you might be interested in reading it . original.gif
Kismit
Found the site . I actually had the plaesure of engageing this man in conversation . He makes absolutly nothing out of travelling around showing people what he has learned it just frightened him so much he felt he had to do it Weston.A.Price There is also some info about Mad cow disease on the site .

personally i believe that vegans are not the culprit it is the folks at Tyson brand chicken. it has nothing to do with the government. It is merely a bizarre marketing war gone so so so wrong. Probably the advertising campaign of steak It's whats for dinner sent beef sales through the roof meanwhile chicken isn't getting any attenetion. so what does tyson do with all the money they save not genetically altering their oh so succulant chicken why they spend it on disease study. Vegans? The government? that kind of ignorance makes me hopping mad bounce.gif. just do what i'm doing folks mgo with pork before that gets tainted to
Delacorr
Hey i am just checking on this thread...seems to have veered off subject until aerialhippo got us all back on track...Wow! speaking of swedes, has anyone seen the flying hippo footage in africa...pretty creepy man...but seriously i need people to understand the importance of this vegan issue... w00t.gif
Bizarro
Kismit, ive always adored you but those links you posted are nonsense. i feel sorry that you believe your child was hurt by soy, maybe its a convienient excuse for you.

the thing is that doctor (and people against vegetarianism) love to use extreme examples to justify their ideologies. they are the opposite of PETA... my wife and i call them the 'anti-vegites'. while i don't ascribe to PETA's beliefs at all, 99% of the people i meet criticize me based on them. these anti-vegites would have the world believe that vegetarians are a bunch of scrawny psychos, all in ill health and in need of a cheeseburger desperately. that is not true at all. sure, you can find people who take vegetarianism too far and become psychos, but they are just the extreme- its like if i criticized all people who ate meat because there are fat slobs who eat too many hamburgers.

the truth of the matter is meat is big business. soy products are a threat to that business and the money behind meat and dairy use these ideas to scare people away from soy. every soy burger, or glass of soy milk someone consumes instead of meat or dairy is money out of their pockets. did you also notice that the good doctor you recommended i read listed a bunch of nonsense about beef not actually being bad for you at all? i particularly enjoyed his piece about cholestorol being necessary (well, of course it is in the right form) and that beef is a good source of it. doesn't that show you that this guy is nothing but an anti-vegite? you are listening to the PETA equivalent of the meat industry as if its truth. even if you are not a vegetarian, replacing one meal a week with soy meat would make you much more healthy- from simply the reduction in calories alone.

i can guarantee you that if soy harmed children, it would not be used in formula. some babies have little choice but to consume it if they are allergic to milk. maybe the reason your child suffered problems was not because of the soy but because he wasn't getting the best possible product in your own milk. we cannot recreate nature entirely and babies who drink their mother's milk are much healthier than babies who drink formula. surely, you realize this. its not right to blame your child's problems with development on soy alone because i would say that not the real issue. the soy was merely a replacement he had to have or become extremely ill.

im not here to propagandize so im not going to post links that would contradict your links. i am not a vegan. i am an ovo-lacto vegetarian. i consume soy in moderation. i do not eat soy EVERYTHING. i drink organic cow milk. i eat organic dairy products. vegans hate me for this, as it goes against their philosophy. my philosophy is that i don't want animals to suffer and die for me. i have no problem with milking a cow, as i don't see that as cruel (if it is done by an organic facility with respectable procedures). i don't eat eggs, but that is because ive always despised them. i will eat them if they are cooked in a cake or some other ways though. we also buy all our products from stores that ensure the cows/chickens are treated well and not caged up or tortured. there are companies that make their money just by ensuring they treat animals with dignity and compassion and i support them.

what im trying to say is that everything in moderation is good. if you become someone who only eats soy, maybe you could have health problems. i doubt that it would be from the SOY, more likely its the fact that you aren't varying your diet properly. just eating the foods i eat, i am very much more healthy than i was eating meat. i can tell a significant difference and even my doctor can as well but i said i wouldn't propagandize so that's it original.gif

Not to keep this thread off the original subject, but soy contains its own poisons. Particularly when it comes to our children...

Soy infant formula is high in both fluoride and aluminum, far surpassing the ``optimal" dose and has been shown to be a significant risk factor in dental fluorosis. http://www.bruha.com/fluoride/ Fluoride increases aluminum and manganese (soy formula has massive manganese levels, associated with learning disabled and/or violent individuals) intake... aluminum is associated with Alzhiemers.

Not only that, but soy, similar to tea products, retains a lot more fluoride than most foods we eat. In this day and age, the only way to avoid the governments' agenda is to grow your own and kill your own, depending on your preference of course.

Not sure what the majority on this board thinks of the fluoride isse, but I've personally taken to catching rain water and using as little fluoridated water (and products) as is possible, to the point of heating bath water for myself and my son. At 2 and 1/2, he has a very mild case of fluorosis, with only 1 and 1/2 years exposure in a fluoridated community.

Considering that and the fact that fluoride is a basic ingredient in Prozac and the Sarin Nerve Gas... We don't need anymore ADD cases do we?

I'll stop on the fluoride issue for a second...

Haven't really ventured into what the Green Party is all about, although I've reviewed their website and wasn't very impressed. Constitution Party all the way and scrap the UN before it gets out of control!

Oh.. and cows milk.. we're meant to be weaned from our Mother's teet for a reason and I don't personally believe it's to get on the cows teet. We are becoming quite trained. As my Grandma used to say, 'Don't follow the herd, they're headed for the cliff.' And she meant it.

Sorry for a terribly long first post. original.gif

mmmmm........meat. soy could never replace meat for me!
Delacorr
Agreed Skalra..
Bizarro
these posts really bring out the freaks (wonders why im posting again, hmm, i must be a freak).

if you are catching rainwater for your son, maybe you should realize something. rainwater is very unhealthy and very polluted. at the present, it is full of mercury due to power plants being unregulated. mercury is far more dangerous than flouride.

we all have lots of flouride in our systems and we are still alive. i drink flouridated water and im pretty damn healthy. also, i have strong teeth.

why don't you look at the teeth of an american with flouridated water, and then look at teeth in a country without flouridated water. i think you might see a pattern.
Delacorr
Pattern, or difference? And flouride is fine but rainwater is very dangerous unless it is boiled prior to drinking. whistling.gif
Bizarro
sorry, i meant that to say teeth of americans and teeth of people in a country without flouridated water. its hard to see with my monitor so messed up...
Delacorr

its an expression skalra, it means you don't have to say it because they already believe what you are saying.
Delacorr
Sarcasm...its like music to my ears...
Aslan
Djdodo, why do you appear to think that chicken is not meat?
Delacorr
Chicken is an alternative and it not red meat such as pork or beef...those are less healthy than chicken is...especially for people with heart problems aslan
dust19
I eat vegans because their meat is pure. Only slightly stringy. But i love it's sweet taste.
Delacorr
You eat VEGANS or CHICKENS?

CANNIBAL@
dust19
I eat vegans. I'm pretty sure that's what I typed before..
Delacorr
Vegans are STRICT vegetarians..they are PEOPLE...um...someone correct me if i'm wrong...
dust19
I know they are people. There are some people that eat people. They are called cannibals...correct me if I am wrong. We as a people, like the vegans also face a lot of discrimination. What's going on in Congo now is giving us a bad wrap though.
Aslan
Delacorr,

Chicken is an alternative to what? Killing cows? Killing chickens is an alternative to killing cows? This much is amply evident, and easily provable. That is not, sadly, my point.

My point is that people effectively claiming not to eat meat by virtue of them only eating one particular kind of meat is just ridiculous. It's a typical meat-eaters conceit to make themselves feel nobler.

I'm a vegetarian. Can you tell?
Bizarro
(wonders why it is i can barely insult someone or their ideas and a thread gets locked, but when people start making idiotic and crude references in ways that seriously irritate me a thread remains open- not only open, but continuously growing more and more insulting)
Delacorr
DShwartz...there is a misunderstanding here between this whole thing...i dont have anything against vegans or vegetarians or anybody...i am not racist or anything...it first started with the soy thing and then it got a littl ebit out of hand but this is what forums are for...people can say what they want..but only ot a certain degree i suppose...

Aslan...some vegetarians have separate reasons for being vegetarians...some for health and some because they dont like the idea of killing animals...tahts what i meant by the chicken thing...
i'm sorry if it was a disturbance but its a way to settle our differences...
Delacorr
Please accept my apology if i had done something wrong...
dust19
wow, once again my sense of humor takes a wrong turn and offends someone.

I have nothing against vegans or even level 4 vegans (eating nothing that casts a shadow..<simpsons>)

I was just adding a little humor to a -getting too serious- post

I was also making a point, though, that I don't think anybody should call ANYBODY wrong for WHATEVER they eat......veggies,meat,PEOPLE, nails, balloons, wood, air, water....whatever

also nobody should think they are superior for any of their ways...everyone has their own oppinions. For example, Many vegetarions/vegans claim to be prime examples of health because of purity. But on the flip side, many meat eaters claim to be examples of health because of their high clean protein intake and muscle building potential..(sorry i work for a health food/bodybuilding company....but I only do graphics for them!!!)..

but my point is everyone should just be happy to be alive. Vegans are great!
Carnivores are great! Chemical dependants are great! We are all the same people.....our turds may look a little different though!

Smile everybody!!
Aslan
And just for anyone else who feels like having a pop, this kind of public p*ss-taking of peoples ethics just isn't acceptable.
dust19
I forgot too add that people only start being 'not cool' when they become hostile, or smug.

Delacorr:

Wasn't the whole point of your original post meant to be a joke anyways? Kind of a spoof of conspiracy theories in general?

We can use the same theory, just reverse it saying the whole scare about pesticides and GM plants w/ hormones is only fabricated by the meat companies to try to scare people away from eating vegetables.

(on a side note, they did splice human DNA into a tree....no physical effect, only the tree and it's offspring will forever carry the imprint of that human dna....)
Delacorr
Yep...it was meant to just show how stupid people can besometimes i mean come on..Green Party--Greens? laugh.gif

okay everybody,

Lets all say we're sorry...

Aslan, DSchwartz, obviously you fellows got offended by one or more things in this post, I would like to apologize for anything I or anyone else said that may have been offensive. It was purely unintentional and accidental.

I'm sorry. Let's all get along.
