Who here reads up on their star sign?
Do you believe in what it says? If not why
i am a Tauras (bull), and i read up on my star sign everyday just out of curiosity. I find it interesting and sometimes it gives me good advice.

Yep i read mine but i take it with a pinch of salt.
As a general rule of thumb, if it's good news its true, if it's bad it's obviously poppycock!! :)
I'm a virgo and some of the traits that a typical virgo has, i have but not all. My sister tho is a typical Virgo: she'll correct your spelling soon as look at ya! ;D

I agree with u PS I am not a typical virgo but then because my moon sign is Libra.
I have the traits of both ...not to mention to be born on the cusp is to say the least sighlty confusing as u can always pick the sign u like best not... Not that I belive in the ones that are in the papers after all they are genralised.
But an indepth study along with things like numerology moon and rising signs can actually be a lot different, and people do recognise themselves and their personality.
I have done these for a few years now and tell u your good and bad points after all we are not all sweetness and light. Well not all the time
:D :D

:-/
I am a Leo and although I do have some traits that correspond to those of a typical Leo, I do not have some that are fairly major ones for that star sign.
Now I understand that the moon's gravitational interaction is responsible for the tides and therefore may have an effect on the water within our human bodies, and by extrapolation, the more distant satellites of the sun may also have a faint effect upon us, but I cannot for the life of me work out how astrologists came to their conclusions about what the positions actually mean for us on a daily basis. For example, if Mars is in Virgo, such and such will happen...
???
(... but nevertheless I still read my own horoscope when I come across them ... but I think this is more habit than belief...)

I had my chart done a while back and that was quite accurate. Apparently although i'm a virgo most evrything else is in scorpio. Can't remember what that means - anybody?

Jan 12 2002, 07:43 PM
I'm a Taurus, and I too do read the stars, personally I find that they are correct around 30% of the time. The stars that I read do not always get it right, but saying that they are in the local paper, but that should not make much of a difference should it?
Mind you I can make my own astrologiacal charts, so maybe i should try to do my own?

I must admit, I do sometimes read my stars, but to be honest, I don't really believe, I find them, on the whole at least, to be far too generalised and often ambigous. However, having said that, i'm a Libran, and a fairly typical one in that i'm indecisive, creative and crave equality, justice and peace....also romantic and far too sensitive, so don't laugh at me or mock me or i'll run away and hide somewhere *lol*
I found the point about the Moon having an effect on us interesting, I do strongly believe in this, (i'll post up some links re: this subject - fascinating stuff) There are also statistics which show that crime rates increase during full moons etc - coincidence? or perhaps explained by added light source which aids a potential criminal? who knows?

Weegschaal? I'm sure that's an old scots word...
Anyway, I'm a pisces, and about as typical bloody pisces as you get. Of course, I have pisces sun sign, pisces moon sign, as well as pisces in 3 other houses. GIVE ME A BREAK! My husband was born on the 22nd September just before midnight. He has all those yummy Libran qualities, and then suddenly all the tact and diplomacy of a bull in a china shop. Bless him. I'll say to him, 'dont you get all Virgo on me y'git', and he'll make an effort to put his Virgo self back in his box. Fortunately for me, he's much LESS Virgo than Libra for my delicate Piscean nature. [Delicate? Can'tcha tell?!] ;)
Of course, not that there's anything wrong with Virgos. I could use a few of you around our house to keep it imaculate for us! :o ;)
ANYWAY, back to the point...the daily horoscopes are about as much use as a chocolate fireguard - especially as they say your moon sign is just as influential as your sun sign. A full astrological chart is far more accurate me thinks.
;D ;D

As for Virgos being tidy, i'm a virgo and the only things i keep tidy are the things i'm interested in. House is a mess, but my CDs are in Alphabetical-chronological order!

BINGO! My other half's are too! And yours truly just digs on in there and messes them all up - much to his annoyance. The DVD's and Videos are the same; alphabetical order OR ELSE. Och! But so far I've managed to keep him away from our book shelves...

Weegschaal is a Dutch word, literaly meaning weighing scales.
I know this because my wife happens to be Dutch and I speak the language fluently. Probably stemming from the fact that I am not only a Scorpio, but also, a Dragon in the Chinese calendar. Both of which make me very strong and successful. So why am I not the ruler of the world ??

Well.... I must say Scorpios are outnumbering most of us here...(wonder if that means something)..
None the less... I am a Pisces.
The way I see it. Horiscopes you find in the news papers and such are yes very vague. But at the same time there not meant to really provide you with an indepth look into your Astrological sign. They are mearly there in my opinion to give you some small gesture of either kind words or slight warnings to help maybe brighton your day and give you some kind of energy upifting...(possibly)
I also believe that if one really takes the times to study his or her sign they can honestly learn a little more about them selves and maybe even bring them to higher state of enlightment.
So yes I read the daily horiscope sometimes if I feel that I need that xtra push in the day. I also sometimes read into it further, cuz that's just my nature..."all mysteries are intriguing"???

Well, I guess I've missed out on a lot, here. I doubted anyone would ever bring up astrology in the forum, and luckily, it's one of my favorite subjects.
I'm a Leo with a Leo ascendant; it doesn't look to me like we have a lot of them here.
It seems to me that I've picked up a fair amount of Virgo traits, having three of my planets in Virgo in my personal charts. I'm quite picky and faultfinding, and can get manipulative in many cases, as well. And I have a very low self esteem, as a matter of fact.
Unfortunately, my moon is in Capricorn, supposedly making me very cold, and eliminating my feminine charm. :(
Anymore Leo's around here besides Loonboy and myself?
