Fact... there is different types of "Lupus", and I don't think that that is one of them. There is: Cutaneous lupus, Systematic Lupus Erythematosus, Drug-induced Erythematosus, Neonatal Lupus, and Lupus in Overlap. It is a chronic-inflammatory disease that effects all parts of your body, including Joints, Heart, Kidneys, Skin, and Blood. Our body's immune system normally makes proteins called antibodies to hel protect our bodies from infections, viruses, bacteria, and other foreign materials. These foreign materials are called "antigens". In an autoimmune-system such as Lupus, the immune system loses it's ability to tell the difference between foreign substances(antigens) and it's own cell and tissues. The immune system then makes antibodies directed against "self". Antibodies, also called "anti-autobodies", react with the "self" antigens to form immune complexes.
The immune complexes, then build up in tissues and cause inflammation, injury to tissues, and pain. More than 16,000 people develop Lupus each year.

Look up the definition and it will tell you all about it.
