Can’t tell you how we got our hands on this image, but what you’re looking at is a real live shot of the Xbox 360 that someone sneakily snapped with their cameraphone at Microsoft’s Xbox360 Revealed launch party in Los Angeles last night. Also note the presence of a hard drive attachment up top, the white controller, the Xbox Live headset, and what looks like that EyeToy-like camera peripheral we’ve been hearing about.

The photoshop concept looked way better then this one. I cant tell by the picture but it looks huge maybe bigger then the first x-box.

It looks like... a PC.

So, those pictures i posted of the controller WERE real. That's highly dissapointing, the controller looks like a Dreamcast controller with the swirl removed and an extra stick glued on, honestly.
Please, don't take it as i'm going out of my way to 'bash' it, i learned my lesson, but i'm not impressed at all.

I would like to point out however that i've seen pictures of the controller that are actually black with the logo on, so i think the picture here of the console is a 'control' console, it isn't the finished design, it most likely wont be white.

I think it looks kind of fake.. Just a PC tower that has been done up and the controller looks like the one I saw at walmart by some cheap producer.

Its not called XBOX 360. I prefer to call it Xenon thats the code name. Even Bill Gates gave it the name Xenon. But now everyone wants to change it to 360.

Suprisingly, i would hazard a guess to say the new consoles will be bigger, not smaller, than the previous counterparts.
With small designs, such as the thin PS2 and the Gamecube, there's only so much you can squeeze into it. The new focus seems to be what CAN be put into a console, and what can the console do, so i would expect bigger machines.

I think the majority of the space goes to Cooling systems these days. If the Xbox has 3 chips running @ 700Mhz then the cooling required would be close to small car
The cell is something new all togther feck knows whats requried to chill that bad bwoy.
Just aswell I have a Console room in my flat overwise i'd be fecked for space
Also they have shown some pics of interchangable Facia's for the entire console, whether that includes the "controller" who knows.
Still who buys a console based on looks, If its that bad (which it is) get a few beers down your neck (provided its legal for you todo so) cause beer goggles make everything gorgeous, Don't they guys ?

Good point. I'm not sure why all this attention is on what the new consoles look like. I mean, the Gamecube and PS2 aren't exactly amazing designs are they?

I think it looks exactly like a dreamcast controller, smaller, with an extra analog stick.

wow....not very impressive looking. it looks just like a normal computer. but then again, looks arent the most important thing about a console. im sure it will still be awsome.

Argggh... I just hope the new controller won't be cumbersome like the original XBOX controller. I don't mine the "S" at all, but this new one looks like a pregnant boomerang.

UGH. The Console looks like it just got primer on it, and the controller looks like a logitech usb controller for the PC. But if it gives as good graphics as they say, Im not gonna complain(but they better have better third party controllers).

Actually you know what?
I was in EB yesterday, and there was an unoffical Xbox controller, which looked IDENTICAL to this new one. Seriously, the two analog sticks, same place, the 4 buttoms, same place, exact same shape, etc etc etc.
Can't remember who made it, something 'animal'? Anyway, yeah, they seem to not have put much thought into it.

How big was the controller? Did it resemble the orignial XBOX controller? Or was it closer to the "S" in size?

I'm afraid to say it, that is not a concept that is the final design, MTV will broadcast the party (The Next Generation Xbox Revealed | MTV, 9:30 pm (EST)) thats where those photos were taken.

You have a point there. I wonder what the designers were thinking...what was in their minds when designing this box/circle/mini PC? Did they ask video gamers if they liked it? Opinions? They should listen to us...

From what I gather The EA games look immense but the show itself was drivvle.
It called 360, Xenon was the project name, it would have been silly calling it Xenon given Intel have a server processor chip called Xeon .
The picture i posted is the real deal. You just dont get the right scale in that pic. Its about the size of teh orginal Ps2 I dunno what you were looking at. its excaclty the design shown on the first page

Yeah that was a trip that one of the guys playing ZERO made $80,000 playing games professionally!
Basically you just register for video game tournaments (they hold them around the world its a huge community) and just win them and make sure make a name for yourself by trash talking and backing it up with your game and hopefully you get sponsors and endorsments. We should start a thread on pro gamers and tournaments

my mistake I should of rephrase that

I skipped the first ten minutes because A band was playing (watched the mia vs. was game). but the part were they where showing the different designs of the xenon project I saw the final one and it looks smaller compared to the pic you post so I said it looked better and different until you said

I saw the 360 in the MTV special, and outside its not something i'd like to dig myself in...but in the inside, the graphics are beyond astonishing! I guess its safe to call it a Desktop Computer now
